No Update for my VIN on bmw.com
Hi,
I’ve recently had some issues with my Bluetooth menu not listing my connected devices… it’s just a blank list. My phone is remembered from a previous connection, but none of my family can now add their devices. They try, but the “egg timer” circle just keeps going around and around. I’ve tried to jump online and enter my VIN on the BMW software updates paste, but it’s bringing back an error and not supplying me with an update file to download. Any ideas, or does anyone have the update file for a 2011 BMW 530d GT? I’m reluctant to take my car to the nearest dealer (over an hour away) for a task I can do myself with a USB drive! Plus, I’m an IT engineer, so I “should” be able to perform a simple software update Thanks in advance, Peter |

Your car is too old for the updates. AKAIK, 2014 is the oldest model year that can be updated. My only suggestion is delete every device from the car and phone, restart the phones and start over.

Seems strange that I wouldn’t be able to update though, as the system has the option to update and actually says on the screen to put the USB in for an update. Why would it say that if it wasn’t possible? |
