Am i missing a cover?
I seem unable to find the missing cover in realoem. Any guidance or part number gladly appreciated. This is for a 2015 F10 535. |

It's #3...
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_9339 For some reason they don't list the p/n. You'll probably have to call your dealer for the p/n. Looks like whomever changed your oil didn't bother to reinstall that piece. Lazy... |

When the part number in the diagram is grayed out...and not listed in the part number index...then that item isn't for the model you entered.
I would suggest that the OP go back to the site, enter the last 7 digits of their VIN...then go to that diagram to verify that item #3 is still grayed out...if it is...then don't worry...you're not missing the part. Also take note that item #2 is also grayed out...and if you find a BMW model that uses #2...it probably also uses #3.

i was wondering if i was missing the entire cover..i didn't see any screw holes or missing clips inserts which makes me believe that no cover goes there. I'll investigate further Thanks for your input. |

i was wondering if there's an entire underbody cover missing besides the trap door. Maybe any other 2015 owner would be able to verify. |

This should give you a list of other BMW models that may use that part or other parts that are listed in that diagram. Then click on one of those models and it will take you to their diagram. You'll probably run into another BMW model that uses #1...or perhaps #2, or #3 and other parts that were grayed out in the diagram when you used your VIN.

My best guess and the little research is that part # 51757193752 and 51757209541 is for non x-drive vehicles. I've seen a few youtube video "bmw F10 oil change " and it seem that the one that do have the cover and trap doors are non x-drive. Mine is x-drive. It seems like there's is no missing screw holes or missing clip inserts that leads me to believe the cover is missing. Maybe someone w/ a 535 lci x-drive can confirm either or. |

Definitely agree...its right there in the diagram. In the diagram below for a LCI f10 528i...there's definitely a screw (#5) that holds the cover (#3) in place: (tip: for those that don't know...the encircled numbers in the diagram represent hardware)

Sorry to bump an old thread but I ran into this issue. I bought the plastic locking cover for the drain plug for my pre lci xdrive and turns out it doesn’t work for xdrive cars. The underbody shielding is different for us. So if anybody wants this thing feel free to PM me!

Can confirm that the xdrive do not have this part, not there is a hole for the bolt. I bought one as well and it's just sitting in my trunk.
