Vacuum leaks? Looking at my fuel trims here
Hi car, my car is a F10 N20 520i
Mods : 1) Stage 1 hybrid turbo 2) Bar, plate IC 3) Ftp charge pipe, boost and turbo inlet pipe Flashed to stock with stock downpipe atm to aid diagnosis. What's been replaced: 1) 4xCoils & Plugs 2) New HPFP (LPFP is still the old one) 3) 4 new injectors 5) Maf sensor 6) A new set of 02 sensors Long story short, as you can see, my car is drinking petrol. It has a LTFT close to 27%. Fuel consumption is very high. After replacing all items listed above, problem persists. It's PITA. I was convinced my car must be suffering from a vacuum leak. Had it smoke tested, no leak to be found. Judging from my photos, I was informed by a member here and the internet if your LTFT decreases as rev goes up, it means you have a vacuum leak instead of fuel delivery issue (I can rule fuel delivery out as I don't seem to have difficulty starting the car at all) From my understanding as well, a vacuum leak post maf - throttle body isn‘t severe enough to give a +26% ltft fuel trim. What am i missing here? Assuming there's no leak and with the parts I replaced, can it be a faulty ecu? |
