Dual to quad exhaust set up
Hi everyone, I'm currently running a stock exhaust on my M sport 535ix and was thinking to go quad. I only want to change the tips since I don't mind the stock exhaust and wanted to ask for some advice. Please let me know if you have done this conversion and what was needed for it?
Thank you! |

I'm sort of interested in this too, except I have the M Performance exhaust. Presumably, you'd require a new diffuser to fit the new tips. My main concern with replacing the diffuser is that I've read with most aftermarket solutions, you lose the comfort access kick-to-open trunk feature. Might not be a deal breaker for you, but for me it is since I use it quite often.

I use to run quad exhaust tips on my stock muffler M Sport 535i before changing to M5 mufflers. You will need M5 diffuser (or bumper cut if your car does not have M Sport body kit) and a set of "h" pipe exhaust tips, you can get these tips from eBay AliExpress etc and a good muffler shop to install the tips.

Also, do you have the kick to open trunk option? |

Others have relocated the comfort trunk access this with an adapter. Hope it helps.

I have an M5 exhaust to install on a 550i modern with the square exhaust. I don’t think the comp fits on that bumper. I want to install this within the month. |

Yes, the M5 diffuser only fits the M Sport bumper, which is exactly the same as M5 bumper
