CiC head unit constant turning on/off
My 528ix 2012 CiC head unit keeps turning on and off. After turning it on and off a few times, it finally stays active and lasts for a while. Did you have the same problems? Does anyone have experience?

I've had this recently on a 2016 F10, I think this is an NBT unit?
Anyway, I cleared all personal data through the iDrive menu (had to try around 20 times as the unit would restart each time I began the process) but it is now resolved. Settings > Instr. Cluster Display > Clear Personal Data Possibly worth a try. |

Maybe your hdd is dying. Buy another one hdd but it needs s.m.a.r.t. option. I saw related post of this issue here on 3 series forum, as i had F31 before my F10, and it's a bit of PITA to recover but it is manageable to do it.

It is a bit of hdd cloning process and a bit of programming but nothing too scary to do if your hdd is still in dying process where you can still access all data. Just search in 3 series forum section "dying headunit hdd" and something related will come up! I hope i helped a bit... hdd is not expensive and maybe fewchours of pc work is needed, maybe less...
