2015 BMW 528i N20 drivetrain malfunction and struggles to start after night
Hello, I'm struggling with a Drivetrain malfunction on my 2015 BMW 528i and error codes P0300 P0301 P0303 P0304.
In the morning, when the car starts after sitting overnight, it takes a while to start. Later it starts quickly, but in the mornings it sometimes takes about 3-4 seconds. Driving up to about 40 miles per hour everything works fine, but as soon as I get on the highway and press the accelerator more, the check engine light comes on and a "drivetrain malfunction" problem appears. When this problem occurs, the car really shakes while driving. I switch to manual and it drives well from M1 to M5, but cannot switch to M6-M8 without the car shaking. Stopping and turning off the engine resolves the issue until the next time I press the accelerator on the freeway. I have changed the spark plugs, replaced the ignition coils, and replaced the valvetrain motor. It helped me with other problems, but it doesn't resolve that. I am now preparing to replace the fuel injectors, but I am not sure if that's really the problem. How do I determine if it's really due to the fuel injectors? Is that right that this car only fits OE 13648625397 = BOSCH 0261500260 = BOSCH OLD = 62838. Doesn't interchangeable with 13647639994, 0261500172 or 13647597870? Because some places like oembimmerparts dot com shows that 13648625397 = 13647639994. Thanks for help. |

Just wanted to chime in, I had a drivetrain malfunction when I got on the highway and stepped on the gas. It turned out to be the vaccum pump. After that I could step on the gas in sport and redline and no malfunction.

This sounds like an injector issue. I picked up a high mileage 535i and 4 days later it went into limp mode due to bad injectors. Turns out the decoupler on them had gone bad too. N55s are notorious for injector failure at high mileage. However you do have an n20, I really do hope it's just the injectors and nothing serious!
