Weird noise when turning steering wheel
Hi, I recently went over a "metal box" on this off-roading trail that "scraped" down the middle front of my car. I am not sure if it scraped or broke whatever it hit but it is now making a grinding/knocking noise when I turn the steering wheel. I will add a link attachment to the video I took.

Ugh, that’s ugly. You’ll have to lift the car and check for damage. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a noise like that from a car’s steering before.
Does it keep grinding if you’re continuously turning the wheel in one direction, or is it only when moving the wheel back and forth? |

Hey,
The noise sounds mode like something related to the suspensions and arms. If you could lift the front of the car up and look at all the arms underneath you'd be able to check for play or noise when pressure is applied. That's the only way I see you moving forward with the diagnosis, except if you have a way of reading codes and you see something steering related. Good luck |
