Clunking when braking slotted rotors.
When braking my f10 550xi I can hear a clunking sound as if the calipers are clamping onto the rotors and I feel it over the steering wheel. Ive bled the brakes several times. Anyone had this happen after swapping over to slotted and drilled rotors?

Check your thrust arm bushings. Try to move the arm side to side where the bushing connects and see if it flex’s a lot.

Thank you for the responses. I went and checked the various control arms and felt or so no play. Which thrush bushing typically causes the clunk? Didnt realize there were so many control arm components

As the brake pads "grind" against the slots in the rotors, there will be a sort of grinding/clunking sound.
Was the sound there before the slotted rotors? |
