Hello everyone.

Have lurked on this site for quite a while but now I have an issue I need help with and decided to post for help. Thank you in advance for anyone who responds.

I have a 2013 535I Xdrive. When cruising, say cruise control set at 75mph and on a dead flat road or say a neutral gas pedal, I have a wicked 50hz hum and a very tight vibration. Accelerating, decelerating or going up or down a hill even at the slightest grade the problem disappears only to return when back to cruising. The problem only appears when cruising.

I was told by my shop it was the front drive shaft U-joint so I had the drive shaft replaced. I think the problem is actually a touch worse now. It is quite annoying to the point I don't even want to drive the car.

Anyone, have any idea what is going on here or experienced anything like this?

rhodesholar i still have the mild vibration while crusing at 80 whcih i can feel from the middle of and my driver seat below. this is possibly from Guibo or flex disc crack. i also got the small vibration from steering but that is gone after i changed the engine mount. the crusing vibration usually causes from flex disc else mild bent wheel vibration.
