It split between the instrument cluster and HU. One signal run to the amp and one run to the HU / instrument cluster. They all run as a network so as long as each have one signal in and one signal out then it will work

My F10 has hifi (5 speakers + tweeters) + CIC navi + COMBOX

The speakers are upgraded to Audison but very low difference because the AMP is still stock.

I was thinking to replace the hifi AMP with Logic7 or Harman Kardon and someone told me I don't need to run any extra fiber optic as my Combox has it already. What does this mean ? I have to make an optic splitter from the Combox to get fiber into the HK amp or I don't need to touch the fiber at all ?

Do I have to change any cables other than adding cables and speakers in the rear doors ?

What if I am not adding any speakers in the rear doors ? Will be a huge difference ? I am asking because I dont want to change the door panels since I have added ambiental lights.

HK is not plug and play. You will need to run extra cables for it to power on and function. You will also need to code your HU as well.

There are many plug and play amp upgrade like bavsound, bimmertech or match.
