Rough idle on cold motor, after replacing start motor and valve cover

BMW 535i, F10, N55, Autom transmission, 2010, 280.000 km.

Issue: rough idle on cold start; to the point it shuts itself down.
After few restarts it seems as the motor is getting warmer it kept running smoothly for at least 15 minutes. (manually turning motor off after that)

Fault codes:
1. 120408 Permanent: Charging pressure control: switch-off as consequence
2. 130104 Permanent: VANOS (Variable Camshaft Timing) intake: control fault, camshaft stuck
3. 130F20 Intermittant: Exhaust camshaft: angle offset with respect to crankshaft out of tolerance

This came up after: replacing start motor and valve cover.
Valve cover had to be replaced because of oil leak, leaking oil on exhaust.

This is what i found on my own online, outside this forum:
- Vacuum leak/false air in the intake system (e.g. loose CCV hose, bad valve cover gasket)
- Crankcase ventilation problems (PCV/CCV system, e.g. incorrect fitting or damaged hose)
- Valvetronic system problems (loose connection, faulty servo motor, eccentric shaft sensor)
- Problems with engine management/software (DME, e.g. no adaptation reset after work)
- Problems with spark plugs or ignition coils (loose connection, damage during installation)
- Adaptation problems after component replacement (specifically Valvetronic and fuel adaptations)
- Faulty coolant temperature sensor (CTS, e.g. loose connector)
- Faulty or fouled air mass meter (MAF sensor, e.g. loose connector or fouling)
- Problems with lambda sensor (oxygen sensor, e.g. loose connector or faulty after transition to closed-loop)
- Fuel injection or fuel pressure problems (e.g. HPFP, injectors, loose connector)
- Problems with VANOS (fouled or loose solenoids)
- Problems with throttle valve or throttle body (secondary, e.g. loose connector)

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

ps i'm not a mechanic, i'm the owner: i'm trying to help the mechanic by doing research

You did perform the oil priming procedure prior to complete start up?

Have you replaced your Vanos Solenoids? If yes then how many miles ago?

Your battery was disconnected prior to any work done?

https://bmwfault.codes/

Type your codes when prompted in the link above, to give you a better idea of whats happening.

Start with the PCV system. i replaced mine last week (101k miles) and it helped to smooth out the rough idle @ cold start

For the first code, 120408, check all air intake plumbing for cracks or leaks. Check your MAF sensor on the charge pipe, and The other sensor thats nestled above and behind your Air Intake box, check connections.

update: one of the solenoids did not pass the 12v test right away. We cleaned it and it seemed somewhat better in the 12 volt test. Did put it back in but then after a while bad idle again (while the motor was still cold). So we are going to replace the solenoid.

Try to replace both of them, so you don't have to worry about the other one 1 month from now or 3 months from now. If possible.

I recommend OE or OEM Genuine parts, please, save yourself further headache and get the best for your car.
