2015 F10 Premium Seats Buttons Don't Work
2015 F10 Premium Package with lumbar and leg adjustments, drivers seat will not respond to buttons, but will with the remotes. The 2 remotes have different driver seat settings and the seat will move properly for the 2 positions.
Have not looked at removing anything yet to inspect, but all looks ok, no detached buttons / cover, etc. Can the seat work like this and yet have a bad seat memory module? Any other reset / redo procedures that can be done? Passenger seat works fine. Thanks in advance. |

More information E44C1E
Hi, anyone can help. Is this a control module failure and / or just button failures? Any hints to figure out which one.
Getting code E44C1E, Driver's seat adjustment switch block (LIN): Switch block does not respond. Going to try and remove the switch block first before replacing the module? |

Getting the same exact results as you. Same code, switches don’t work, but memory buttons do. I’ve been using a Launch Creader Elite v2 to activate the seat and adjust it to where I want then save in memory. I’ve used ISTA+ to do the same thing but it is a bit more complicated. Looks like the control module needs replacing but haven’t gotten around to that yet.

Getting Ready To Replace The Control Module
I purchased the PROTOCOL tool and it is pretty good. Can move the seats and much more. I am getting ready to remove the control module, get the exact part number, get a replacement and recode. I tried replacing the switches with no changes, so .... will report back.
Thanks for the reply. |

Most likely the switches in the seat have a problem, not the module under the seat. I had the same issue on an X5. Replaced and worked right away. If you need a module, I have a few I can sell for cheap.

Ok will here is the report after the fix.
Took the seat out. PLEASE NOTE that on these seats there are mounting solid posts on the bottom. I did not realize this and punched a hole though the woofer grill. Then used a 3/8 particle board to put on top and replaced with a good used one. Other seats that I have taken out do not have this post, but I guess BMWs do... I could not find a video / instructions on how to take the module out of the plastic shelf for this seat, so pried it out and did break one of the holding large tabs. This did not seem to be an issue when I put it back in so, be aware.... I got a replacement part number that was very close, last number off, but same year for F10 for a seat like this, so tried it out. On power up got warnings, not coded for car, air bag warning, seat belt warning, but once I coded if for the factory for the car using PROTOOL (very fast). all is good. So bottom line, the module was bad and / or plugging and unplugging stuff might have fix something, but there was no bad wires / connectors / pins that I could see. All was clean. Anyway, if there are any other issues will report back, but looks like it is fixed. |

2015 F10 Drivers Seat Module Question
So, I have the seat working with a new module and recoded, cool.
So, I took the bad board out of the shell and I noticed that the connections for the through holes in the board are not soldered like all other computer boards. I have been around a bit, and this is strange. Please see the pics, are these just contacted in there? This seems strange is a moving car, etc. Anyone have any clues on this? I think I might solder these up and try it out to see if I can get it to work again? |
