2015 N20 F10 Wastegate Chattering

About 200k on the engine, just getting the waste gate chatter and looking at it.
Was getting the 123401, 123432, 12408

I sprayed some penetrator on the nuts and bolts to get ready to do the adjustment, but now it seems to have gone away. This might have freed something up and am attaching a video of how it starts and reacts to see if people think this is right. Does the shroud move as in the video, or does it stay in place for proper operation?

I have cleared the codes and right now they are not coming back.

Thanks

Why is the adjustment rod touching metal? Maybe it is worn out over time?
Highly unlikely but do you think that the adjustment rod is not bent or push in a bit?

That is my question if the shroud is where it should be. I have another version of this in another car will check it out there also.

Ok, first take out the front 2 bolts from the heat shield, the front one is easy, the middle one is not fun, take the socket and jam it on the bolt and then use a ratchet to take out. Then tilt the heat shield up on the front and that will give you enough room to work.

Hit the nuts with penetrator and then the outside nut loosens normally and then the entire shroud turns with the inside nut.

Well, after playing with the adjustment, the turbo waste-gate arm fell off the turbo, ha. The waste-gate seems to be ok, but the arm will need to be reattached somehow. Will do some research and get back.

Does this turbo side of the arm supposed to be able to take off? Others I have seen have a clip holding it on.

Ok well there is something that can be put over the turbo side of the arm I guess. “PN# 83302456269 for the new clip. There is no BMW Bulletin / recall on this. .... Will see if I still have the problem after adjustments and if so, get to spend $50 on a small clip, ha.
