60k milage and symptoms of hydrolocked car

Hi

my F10 550i LCI is 60k now and it is throwing some symptoms for the past 6 months and am kind of worried it might end up in expensive repairs. but for now eveything is fine and its drives, please let me know how bad it is so i can be preventive.

the car was hydrolocked on 45k miles and the mechanic shop fixed it by cleaning intake manifold , sparkplugs , airfilter change. also the engine mount ,GUIBO, one side High pressure fuel pump is changed at 50k.

1.) when i do a cold start the car vibrates a lot especially on 2k rpm and rough idling and i can feel it in driver seat.
2.) while coming to a stop the car races a little bit to lose the gear.
3.) in sports mode i am seeing mild jerks while gear shifting.
4.) accelerate reset is done , after that it works smooth for a while and then its comes back to a jerky reaction.
5.) if the car is in optimal temperature it behaves fine.

A hydrolocked engine usually causes one or more bent rods...

But I checked with mechanic he said he didn’t notice any bend rod sound .. it’s been 10k miles after hydrolocked … on cold start in idle the car feels like it’s turning off but running .. will be due to vanos?

Sounds like you are having some sensor issues to me. Pull codes and that should give some insight on where to start. A can of MAF cleaner is cheap...start by cleaning the MAF and MAP sensors ands then move to checking for boost leaks and loss of metered air. Those two things are easy and cheap to start with if you have your own tools!1

i went and changed the PCV valve, found a tiny amount of oil around turbo intake , cleaned it , after new PCV , the engine was smooth the vibration reduced 80% on 2k rpm. but after some time of running may be around 1k miles it returned back , i even changed the lower arm and front tension strut for more suspension related to issues, but i can see a little bit difference after the pcv value change and a lower arm change, the vibration reduced to 50%. i suspect it could be vanos or somehow the oil is going into the intake.

You need to scan the car for codes my man! If you have ISTA+ it will even tell you what to check
