Hartge BMW 5 Series GT
Hartge has now joined the fray. Hartge, which likes to be known not as a tuner but an auto manufacturer, because of their ability to re-craft cars from the inside out, have now apparently turned their attention to the newest BMW, the 550i, 535i and 530d GT.
Hartge has shod the 5er GT with 22" wheels coupled with a lowering kit (30mm). Small interior touches are also made available, but I expect in the future Hartge will tackle a full engine rework as well as exterior styling kits. |

Gonna take a lot more than that for me to like the look of the GT.
Just can't stand the look of that car.

Ok, I never understood this shit but it's really starting to annoy me.
ACS, Hamman, Hartge...how does slapping a set of wheels on this car make it a 'Hartge' car. Is my car a VMR car now?

it has to do with competition with other tuners, if you remember a while back, hamman was the first one to slap on some wheels on the z4 and they claimed to be the first tuner to "tune" the z4, i guess its just to show that they are working on this car there will be more things available for it in the future.

Well there are no pics showing the "small" interior touches, and as far as exterior all I am seeing is the drop and the rims. There's not much "tune" to it IMO.

My personal opinion is that the front of the 5-GT (everything B-Pillar and forward) might be the best looking front end of any BMW sedan in history. I just love it.
I think I'll need to see it person to really determine if I like the rest... seems like it could be like the X6 where it just looked awkward in pictures but looks great in person. |
