MUST order the Sport Package to get the leather boot knob and paddles?
You may have noticed that some pictures of the F 10 show the same gear shift knob as the 7 Series with the metal boot and some show a new shape knob with a leather boot and paddles on the steering wheel. Both show the same steering wheel as the 7 series. Here is my question: Does anyone know if you will MUST order the Sport Package to get the leather boot knob and paddles? I was hoping for a standard car (i.e. not a Sport) but with paddles. Hmmm

The PDF says:
8-speed sports automatic transmission Steptronic, with sports mode for a particularly sporty drive and shift paddles on the sports leather steering wheel. In German configurator Sport Automatic seems to require Sport steering wheel. |

...and we all know that the Sport Steering Wheel in the U.S. usually only comes with Sports Package.
My guess is that BMWNA will give us the leather "boot knob" regardless, but REQUIRE the Sports Package for the paddles, which, may also cost additional $$ above and beyond the cost of the Sports Package. |
