I haven't even played the first one yet so no.....
I'm planning on getting it at some point, but I want to play the first so my choices/char carries over.

My roomy has committed his life to it now. He played the first one for what seemed like forever, now he bought the 2nd one yesterday and played about 6 hours straight. I'm sure I'll find him in the living room in front of the tv for the next two weeks.
Graphics look good.

Ok I picked up the sticks myself last night and played for about 95 minutes. I've got myself a female (hot chicks with guns... so good) and it's pretty fun thus far. I like the RPG/3rd person shooter mix.
You really have to pay attention to the story line or you miss things. Blast. I'm not the most observant.

Yeah guys I finally beat it a couple days ago. One of the best games I've ever played and I've been gaming since TMNT on the NES....
I did pick up a copy of ME1 for $20, and just ran through the story (<10 hours). Definitely glad I played ME1 first. I could list the pro's/cons of both, but I'm too lazy. Head over to the ME2 forums on Gamefaqs if you want answers. Epic game.

You DEFINITELY need: 1) Thanix cannon 2) Heavy armor 3) Shield Also make sure you do everyone's loyalty quests before the IFF mission. (As this begins the final stages of the game, and you won't be able to do them once the final events start, without having sacrifice)

"loyalty" are the only quest you really need to worry about. All the other random sidequests you can complete postgame. (After the final battle you can free roam, do quests, etc...) Just get all those team members quests done and try to keep everyone as loyal a possible (assuming you want the best ending).
