European delivery, keeping the car in europe?
Hi,
Is it possible to order a BMW with european delivery with german/european specs and not ship it to USA? I'm looking to buy a 5-series and the 535iX/550iX is pretty nice priced in the states compared to here in Sweden. Even with our 25% tax added on import it's still a $28-30k difference since leather, automatic gearbox and contour seats are standard for you yanks. Is there some sort of international warranty on new BMW or will I be screwed over if something brakes? Any more downsides? Am I able to skip the US tax somehow? Best regards |

the warranty is only limited to the US. on top, you need a new gps unit, a new radio that handles all frequencies and in some cases some retrofits such as washer system if you have xenon (which is compulsory in EU).
But generally you will NOT be allowed to keep the US car in Europe.
