Anybody got a price for an iPhone 4 BMW snap in adapter for 520d se f10? Are they essential? Any views? What are the benefits of having one!?

I have the snap in adapter for my iPhone 3GS but am questioning the point of it if you have the USB connection (Combox) as the phone connects to the car audio over bluetooth and if you want to play music you can do it through the USB connection.
The USB also charges the phone, so I am wonder why I need the snap in adaptor at all? You would have thought that it should also have a USB connection on it, but it doesn't seem to. Finally the iPhone doesn't have a connection for an external aerial, so you can't benefit from connecting to the one on the roof of the car either. Save your money. |

The Apple iPhone dock does not offer any extra feature over a simple USB cable, it is just for convenience. Similarly, the snap in adapter gives you the convenience of quick and one-hand plug in / plug out. Most people don't need it, but some would like the extra convenience. |
