New BMW F10 520D SE AUTO ALPINE WHITE
Recently took delivery of an F10 520D SE with 8 speed auto box.
It is company lease car that was ordered on 18th August and delivered on 18th November (3 months from order to delivery) Extras /changes ordered:
Total P11D Value £32,500.00 Interior is cinnamon brown leather. I am on the whole delighted with the car and I can genuinely say that this is the best alround car that I have driven. My previous car was a 57 plate 320i coupe that was a smooth runner and a pleasure to drive. Previous to this were mundane cars like a mondeo diesel, GTI's and hot hatches, ie, A3 Turbo sports, Megane 225 sport etc. Haven driven the new car over the last 10 days (750 miles covered) I have the following +ve / -ve comments based on my opinion to make in comparison to previous models of motor driven: Positive
Negative
I will post some photos of the car in due course. Conclusion: Excelent motor and a no brainer if in the position to have this option when choosing your next company car! |

I guess no snow tyres. It's a must have on snow and ice.

About driving in winter/snowy conditions: Tip:I've put Dunlop Wintersport RFT (225/x/17 F & R) on my F10 last friday. That's the way to go. And the 19" 331's stay at my dealer till march. No worries, you can go anywhere you like; almost to the Northpole and back. Cheers Robin |

Thanks for the advice. I may just get some winter tyres. Others have suggested putting ballast in the boot but I would imagine that this would compromise the balance of the car.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures, although I guess that with the latest bad weather you're struggling to keep it clean enough for a picture!
I know how you feel about the snow, I picked mine up on Tuesday and it's not stopped snowing since! See http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=458598 Regards Sisco |

Best photos I can post due to the annoying weather conditions. Had to remove around a foot of snow to get these picture. I will take some better exterior photos when the weather gets better. Managed to get off the drive today and get to work but it is more like a taboggan run than driving!!
It was a pain in the arse loading this pics up. It kept on saying that I had a problem with security tokens? |

The car actually handles very well in snowy conditions but you'll need to change to winter tyres which I guess most of you in the UK don't do.

I suppose here in the UK we have to give consideration to the cost of snow tyres in the winter as generally we dont have that much snow, apart from the last two years!!!
I assume that you have alot of snow in sweden. |

Get all season tires. Why live with performance tires. They are horrendous and wear out faster and leads to more noise, harshness. etc. They are not to be used at 10 Celsius or below ever.
