Dont let them talk you into the Premium Presence Plus. I got duped into 2900 plus tax for 3 years. I, of course, am canceling it now that I have done some research. It covers windshields and dings too...who cares...

Of course the question becomes: if you are quoted what is considered on these boards as a "high number" (e.g. $1500/3 years) and the dealer refuses to negotiate, then what? Do you purchase insurance from a 3rd party or try to buy the BMW/Safeguard policy at a lower cost from another BMW dealer? Although there are 3rd party policies out there (e.g. First Automotive, IIRC), it's not clear what kind of reception you would get from a dealer who didn't sell you the car.
