All 21" Wheels F10 Owners
I've noticed almost all threads that speak of 21" rims, all have done custom springs/coil overs on their f10. Is this absolutely necessary? Or is it just for looks? Also does this mean that if it's not dropped the 21" will fit better meaning more space between tire and body of car? Input is much appreciated thanx.
Note: just spoke to my dealer today and told me end production is June 9. And should be here by June 20's... So i have about 3 weeks or so to make up my mind and order the wheels and tires to have them just in time. If you have 21" wheels please leave you feedback on your experiences.

Yes in NYC awe don't say that! That's my fear. I'm already picturing how will I drive once I have it. I was even thinking og going with 295/30rear and 255/35front instead of 295/25 and 255/30 just to have that extra meat on the tire but i don't know if I will have the room although I feel I can since Im not lowering it and I've seen others lower it after they put 21" wheels and they claim no rub...

Thanx Diesel. I think i will go with the 30/35 set up. although i noticed that 25/30 are like $200 cheaper per tire than the 30/35 setup. Hmmphh something to consider as well since the rims are already 3k+ ahhh these are going to be the longest 3 weeks ever!

havent ordered none yet as Im undecisive but the wheels im considering are the F01/F07 style 312 21". only thing is their offset is 33 front and 44 rear. and measures 8.5" front and 10" rear. Dont know if the offset will be a problem?.. What are you working with?

I have a set of 21" Rennen wheels on order and I should have them in a few weeks. Right now I am on my stock 17's. I read your earlier posts, and if you are not going to lower your car then I highly recommend you go with 19's or 20's. Cars tend to look really bad when the fender gap (space between the tire and the fender) is wider than the tire itself. Good luck with whatever you decide though!

However, with 21x8.5 et33 fronts and 21x10 et44 rears, which would be the equivalent to 21x9 et39 and 21x10.5 et50 the fitment would be very conservative and I would certainly recommend you use 10mm spacers for the fronts and rears for a close to flush fitment. |

21" Styling 312s for my F10 550i
I have someone here in Germany selling a set of 21" 312s but the wheels sizes are 8.5x21 ET 25 and 10x21 ET 41. They have 245/35 and 275/30 tires. Would I have a problem with the fronts?
Thanks |

+1 on the OP, i have 21" wheels, 21x9 in the front and 21x10.5 in the back. i was told to install 245/30 in the front and 295/25 in the back.
i wanted to go with 245/35 and 295/30, since i am not on springs, but decided to go with OEM tire recommendation. if there isnt a fitment issue, i would really like the thicker side wall, for peace of mind. |
