Well 460/460 with only back wheels and power loss to front is not bad if yiou consider 20-30% loss pf power that should put me at 550-570 Whp =)

Car is going in for service today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

really ? i always thought RWD made more HP than AWD due to less power being lost.

Why are you being hardheaded for.

1- My front wheels were not spinning (loss of power) = Wasted power
2- only Rear wheels were spinning.

our cars are a 40/60 Ratio with a consistent 20/80
So what happens to the 20-40% power? Its lost!

But seriously though, just so I dont come off like a dick your rear wheels always see 100% of the power, the difference is where the power is applied and how it is applied when traction is lost or low to the front wheels. this link will explain it a bit better.
http://www.awdwiki.com/en/xdrive/

If you nuked the transfer case, its just a RWD car now, but had it been in AWD mode and transfering power to the fronts, it does tend to eat up 3-4% more parasitic loss. That being said, most AWD dynos are linked and spin both front and rear rollers together so the car wont try to fight for traction as going against 2 ton rollers generally wont fare well for the transfer case, and abruptly engaging fronts can also have a devastating effect on the case.

Cool story bro. If you look into our AWD system it's actually always 20% to front and up to 40% when there is slippage. Look it up or ask anyone at BMW. My service people all confirmed it and so did my mechanic .

Also in all my previous dunks when my transfer case worked my fronts we're spinning just as fast as my rears, and now with broken case it does not spin at ALl!

Trust me the car is easily 520+whp

With JB I had 490/610
With Gintani I shaved ohh a Half a second on all my VBOX times.

When car gets fixed I can show you and Badblack. Hey!! If be pissed to if I dident have the TU Ahhahahahahahhahaha

Let the hate continue!

Im not hating... just explaining how things work. Of all fucks given, rest assured I give the least when it comes to anything car related. I will say of all people on the board, you rank highest in immaturity and also being least informed when it comes to car knowledge. I await the child like comeback and more ranting about how your car is better than everyones, gintani is the God of all tuners, and everything else sucks.

At first I did think the BMW forums would be a bit more adult-like than the GM/Ford boards seeing as how most of their members are 14 and dont even have cars yet, but its obvious there are still the bench racers out there that live their life by dyno numbers, theories, "it should" and "what if".

Kudos to BadBlack for at least running a number... hes allowed to run his mouth all he wants.

Can you guys do me a favor, and stfu.
This thread is way off topic.

Its about a tune, not transfer cases and how they work.

People doing research now have page 10 full of shit that doesn't matter.

I have catless downpipes filters and JB before and I always left it on the car. Every service I would tip the guy and he will take care of you. Bro when its time to return car you just return it and they will reflash to stock . simple!
Are you getting your transfer case replaced by BMW and going to try and get it covered under warranty? If so, interested to know how it goes.

I see this tune making way to much power for stock drivetrain. What's next? Tranny, Rear End, another transfer case (More than likely)

How about this. I dynoed 460/460 with only RWD and if your bulkshit hypothesis is true it should not be much more with front wheels working.

So if I Dyno let's say 500+ and then your wrong.
I will Dyno once car is fixed. Let's make a deal then. 1k PayPal deal. I will record video of Dyno and all.

P.s eat shit don't be .ad because you have a little bullshit tune that gave you 10hp

Apparently transfer case in 550xi is common issue. Let's see how it goes.
I know the transmission can handle 650wtq and is being utilized in allot of the newer cars because of its durability . so let's see! Still to early in the game!
