Beautiful combo, shame the updated stitching doesn't carry over from the seats...

"Exterior colour: Glacier Silver metallic" I just realized that they traded out 354 Titanium Silver Met. for A83 Glacier Silver Met. for 2014. A83 seems to be the only "new" color for 2014 M Sport 5 series models (although the F30 has had it). |

I went to a dealer and looked at Glacier Silver on a 7 series versus Titanium on another model (I forget). My impression was Glacier was softer and less metallic looking. I preferred the more metallic Titanium but neither was the silver I wanted. YMMV

I agree. I saw Glacier Silver on an f10 and an F30... I preferred the more metallic Titanium Silver as well.

Local BMW dealer is giving me a good offer on a 2013 535i (new). Do you think its worth waiting a bit and paying more for the 2014 (havent arrived here yet) (i.e. are the changes worth the wait/extra money)?

Overall though, the improvements are incremental - nothing major. |

I just accepted delivery of a 550i, and so far I'm very impressed with the ride and the raw power.
Here's my setup:
I was really infuriated that I couldn't purchase the $250 Auto-Dimming headlights option without getting roped into the $1999 L.E.D. headlight package (I didn't want the "bling-bling" look of the L.E.D. headlights). Anyway, I have a question: Reading over the user's manual, I see on page 90 there is a feature called "Speed Limit Detection" that is supposed to display a tiny little speed limit sign in the dashboard with the current speed limit detected by a camera that is seeing the speed limit road signs as you pass them, and it is supposed to warn you if you go over the speed limit by a certain amount. This sounded really cool, but I have not figured out how to activate it yet. The option is NOT listed on the "Settings / Info Display" screen in iDrive. Usually BMW indicates "optional" equipment in the User's Manual with an Asterisk (*), but I don't see that for this feature. I also went back into the bmwusa.com website and tried to build a new car, and could not find this feature as a separate option for sale. Any ideas? |

I really suck at taking photos, as these shots will prove. In the first shot, I was trying to show that the car's Carbon Black paint actually looks deep blue under florescent lights (kind of cool, actually), but otherwise the car looks black.

maybe it's just me, but I find the overall design outdated...
It's still a great car though...but I wouldn't want to buy this car in 2014 with minor changes to its original that was out years ago...make sense? The cabin is old...(5 & GT), the facelift is still the old version of headlight/grill seperated... |

I'm not sure but the F07 center console does not get trim. They are all the same glossy black. It's not all the trim but an example you may be able to find on a dealer lot.
