Not sure if there is a large difference is between the US and the EU market.
They are not the same as the 750i, they are a extra upgrade for the 750i as a High speed brake system and standard on the 760i. The callipers are slightly bigger and have larger brake pads. Both rotors are 374X36 so there is also no difference. I do have a set 760i callipers but I assume that shipping to the US would not be cheap. |

I won't put the ///M decals since it is not an M5, even though it is really close to it. Called it the baby M5, Sure sounds better than the M in my opinion lol. I like the clean look so it stays that way |

I know this may sound like the least of the worries but are there any off the shelf 4mm spacer that we can buy to retrofit the x5m front setup? I have a brand new set of calipers and rotors with extended bolt and everything sitting in a box and I just haven't found (or dare I say spent enough time looking for) the 4mm spacers.

If you have a friend with a 3D printer, you could ask them to print a solid piece of 4mm high density plastic.

For rotors, the 2-piece (aluminum hat + steel friction disc) options are Genuine BMW, Pagid, Zimmermann Formula F, or Brembo. Does anyone know if these options: Pagid, Zimmermann, or Brembo have a better rust and corrosion preventive coating than BMW's?
It looks like Pagid and Zimmermann are fully coated, but how about BMW? On my current BMW rotors, the rotor edge and non-friction surfaces are rusting after 30k miles. Thinking about switching to Pagid or Zimmermann to prevent this if they are better. I haven't held both to see but curious if someone else had.

Anyone have any suggestions for front calipers that don't use BMW's stupid clip system for the floating calipers? I'm not really looking for increased performance, I just despise the clips with every fiber of my being.
I'd opt for M5/X5m calipers but I run 18" for winter.

There's a trick to those clips..and it sucks specially if you have painted calipers.. basically you put both end in first and then use a screw driver and put the center up and push into the little divot....
There is another version that you could try out, in the US it only came with Rolls Royce..but its also the same setup that is used on the 760i security version and I am venturing to guess since they fit on the 760i security, that they would fit on F01 and hence on F10s. These will allow you to install the biggest rotors 410x36mm If you do go this route, you'll be boasting the biggest brake setup!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/13337120509...UaAk3UEALw_wcB |

stock rotors..only Half of the brake pad will see the rotor surface so again a no. Im very intrigued by them but I scored some X5m/RR Calipers in black brand new that I am thinking of putting on once my fronts wear out. Rears will be swapped for sure in the summer |

I did the 750i caliper and rotor upgrade and it fits my OEM M Parallels 18x9.5 et25 front with a 12mm spacer. I used these wheels as my winters.
Tight fit! Here's a before and after shot... |

I've also been wondering, for the folks who reported much better braking, how much of that is due to just having new brakes vs the bigger rotors.

Yes it is primarily due to the design of the wheel. Since I have switched over to stainless braided lines, 7series front calipers and 374mm rotors, I do notice better stopping power, especially on the highway where I notice it the most. With summer 21in wheels on factory brakes, this 535dx was very hard to stop. I'm not sure how I am able to fit the BMW Style 128 due to the concave spoke design (21x9 et24 245/35, 21x10 et24 285/30) on with the new 7series brake setup. They barely fit when I had the stock 535dx calipers. Like 1mm of clearance almost touching the face of the calipers. I may have to put a 3-5mm spacer and will be test fitting them sometime next week. Hopefully not too much poke as they are already aggressive offsets to begin with. My stock rear brakes are almost done, so I have bought 550i rear calipers and rotors and will be upgrading the rear brakes too. The bigger rotors will fill up the inside gap very nicely. Can't wait! It kind of sounds like the improvement came from new hardware rather than upgraded hardware. e.g. you would have seen the same result if you got new rubber brake lines, new 348mm rotors, etc. 348 rotors never had a problem triggering ABS.
