I was mostly referring to the bottom portion of the mirrors being black due to the top-view cameras. As far as glossy or not maybe sport vs non-sport gives you matte ?? Regardless, your car looks sweet That lip is super clean !

All 550i in Hong Kong come with sport auto. so that's not it. I am pretty sure the Aluminium Satinated and the Shadowline high gloss options both give you the glossy black treatment, as another forum member here has pointed out......

BTW, you can confirm this by going to the BMW UK website and build your own vehicle, where the aluminium satinated and shadowline high gloss are options that can be added. Check the car's picture afterward.

That's the general feeling about the lip. Without it, the front looks a bit unfinished......

But will you consider the OEM M Sport front lips? Just to add so diversity here

Primarily with double-sided tape which came with the package. Standard feature with most Japanese auto products. There are 2 tiny screws on each side well which is hardly noticeable. And they actually are the same positions as the ones on the car side skirt. The vendor mentioned that the screws are there not so much to hold the lip in place but to make it blend into the car's standard skirt.

Doesn't lower the front much so haven't knocked anything yet (touch wood).

I am still confused. The dealer told me that the satin alum. window trim is standard for HK models. I really didn't notice the matt or gloss finish fo rthe mirror and B-pillar.

grimlock, what kind of window trim, mirror and B-pillar do you have?

Hi RC3 I ended up ordering the Yokohama Advan sport for my new wheels. price was 3450(rears) 2900(fronts)
They also had mlai pirellis in 19" 4000(rears) 37(fronts)
also had the bridgestone RE050 which are similar to the Yokohamas in price.

juztinl there are a set of 312 rims there in silver. Are they yours?

Honestly speaking both the 331 and 312 look very small. Maybe cause they are still in a box without the tires. Are they open on Friday? Im getting mine installed tomorrow immediately after I pick up my car.

Are you talking about in pair? i.e. 3450 for 2 rear tires?

I had prelim. quote of 19" set for around $10k-12k

If the price is per tire, which means the 19" set will be around $15k per set (say for pirelli). If so the guy is ripping you off.

Nah. That's why he's trying to quote you a higher price to compensate the stuff that I owe him

PS. I think those prices are per tyre and they are not that outrageous.
