Now that my car is listed as "in transit" after sitting in the port, I assume this means it's on a boat.
Since I live in Chicago, I assume it will be a West Coast delivery, so I've gone to http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp >>Cargo Tracking >> Auto Cargo and entered my VIN in the Cargo ID box, but I only get "no tracking information available for that number". Just curious if I am going about this correctly (or if it just takes a while for results to appear on that website).

Actually the way I understand it is that it will be delivered to the NY port and then brought to the NJ Vehicle processing center. I THINK?!? I JUST WISH IT WOULD GET HERE!!!!!

Ok, having a few problems using the tracker, if someone could help i'd really appreciate it. Checked the 1-800 # and it says the car is in transit, so it should be on a big metallic mass in the ocean, but i can't figure it out. It is west coast bound and would has to have left either yesterday the 22nd or today the 23rd. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Accounting - I just tried looking on the west coast carrier with Bremerhaven and Port Hueneme as the origin and destination, and I couldn't get anything. If I were you, I'd call your CA and ask what ship it's on. You could then track it on the carrier site or using a google search. Good luck mate.

Accounting4Speed --- your car is probably on the same ship my car is on ... departed the port of Bremerhaven Sept. 21st, aboard the Orion Diamond, on voyage number E7M018 OX, bill of lading number NY KS540014624, Xfef number 07655-02, in maritime parlance. The ETA at Port Hueneme, CA is October 16th ... hope this helps.

^ how long since the car was "in transit"?
EDIT: Nevermind. I just called the dealership and asked. They said its arriving to a port in cali either tomorrow or the day after. It'll take around 10~14 days from there(At the preparation center -> dealership).

I'm pretty sure I'm just getting over anxious, but it's been a little over 2 weeks since I put my order in, and the online tracking still shows it as "on-order" and the phone message says there's no production date yet.
Is that about right? How soon should I expect a production date? Thanks for any help. |

Join the club. I placed my order on 8/18. Owner's Circle didn't change from Scheduled until 9/14, and then it changed to Awaiting Transport.
My tracking saga is located here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=465

Got word from dealer that my car left VPC yesterday. ETA of late this week. That will be a record time for me - about four weeks from drop off to delivery (in TX). I had some things I wanted VPC to take care of, but not sure if they were done.

ok, I just wanted to share my experience(nothing big deal).
Since so many have said Owner's Circle's tracking info is just totally inaccurate, I just wanted to add that it worked for me. I called my dealership yesterday and asked where my vehicle is. He told me its on the boat, should arrive by either today or tomorrow. I checked my Owner's Circle tracking info like 10 times today morning/noon. I checked the owner's circle right just right now again to see if it arrived or updated, it says its in preparation center now(it was en route until today noon). Im guessing its actually working pretty accurately without too much delay. 2 more weeks baby!

Will L., is it being "made" still or in VPC?
damn, they need to start shipping out these BMWs in a cargo plane. Make it faster please. It'd be cool if there was an "extra option" like that. "Ship via airplane: $1000", hell I would have paid for it if I knew it was going to take this long. Being very impatient person when it comes down to cars, 2 mth is way too long.
