Zener, I've wanted to do this repair for quite some time, but have shied away from it as I did not want to attempt to pull the door panel. Another member of this forum (and sorry, I cannot recall exactly who that is) provided detailed instructions on how to do it. I think your post has prompted me to start gathering materials and instructions to do exactly the same thing to both my front door panels. The soft plastic rubber pieces have practically disintegrated! Thanks again.

EGR removed and plugged. Also noticed lot of play in turbo so ordered new melett chra for it. VCG also leaking, but that will be addressed when I change timing chain. Last edited by zener; 06-24-2022 at 03:00 PM.. |

Nothing fancy, but have been wanting to get rid of the chrome side markers since the day I bought my 15' 535i (9 months ago).
Still think I may ultimately go with Alpine White. But at least they are not chrome anymore!!! Gloss Black - purchased from IND-Distribution |

BMS Pedal Tuner - the original Lead-Foot
BMS Pedal Tuner installed today, raining so testing in the standard Stage1 setting gave wheel spin. When dry I will have fun in all the settings.
I experienced recently a disconnected JB4 and soon got the problem fixed as the standard BMW fair is not good compared to the extra turbo boost. This prompted the Pedal Tuner purchase, and the car certainly "wakes up" and becomes more responsive allowing the JB4 to work it's magic. I devised a good install too, for RHD cars the pedal and folding storage box in the F10 are in the perfect locations. I never used that storage box before but I know I will now |

Had to work E65 for a change. Replaced drivers door lock actuator since it did not lock the door anymore. Good that I had extra part laying around.

Started to change turbo CHRA for F10. Gotta put it back together tomorrow. Pressure sensor banjo bolt snapped inside exhaust manifold so had to take it out also and drill the left over's out.
Lot's of play in it: https://photos.app.goo.gl/TZe6gXS7Y9dvnCnR7 |

Just ordered hub bearings. Started hearing noises on the passenger side. So I'm just gonna go ahead and replace the drivers side as well

LED Interior Light replacement
Puddle Lights, Domes, Vanity & Glovebox. (my trunk did not have OEM fixture) ECS Tuning recently had a 50% off sale so the kit was $50. They also provide an excellent pdf installation instruction packet w/pics of all the key pry points. The best part is that I didn't break any plastic trim or fixtures! lol A few quick pics for those that like LEDs Last edited by ctcarbonari; 07-09-2022 at 12:54 AM.. Reason: typo |

Well I was driving it, so you could say I did it.
The picture shows the story of what I did. A government sponsored pothole.
Trying to track down the manufacturer of the wheel, it looks like VMR V710 but after talking with them I don't think it is .... bugger. If anyone can tell from the wheel markings they are in the second picture. |

Bought little project Styling 316 wheels for winter use. Two are bent and they have some curp rash. Gotta straighten them and do some touch paint on them.

Finally decided to switch things up, swapped out my intakes to Advantix/Heatsync which turned out really good. Then I reinstalled my catch cans with steel braided lines (just need to add my brackets) and threw in the new stitched floor covers (jury is still out). Planning to add steel braided meth lines and turbo coolant lines this weekend once my 90 degree inserts arrive.
The wife is working on her first carbon fiber project, still a couple of coats to go and some sanding to do, but almost done with the carbon fiber headlight covers as a starter project (epoxy skinning not vinyl) then we have a few things in mind to fab up in the near future. But extremely happy with how this new endeavor is turning out.
