Did a wheel stud conversion. Should’ve done this mod earlier.

Did the Euro light switch upgrade to get rear fogs... sooooo easy, much easier than an E90! If you haven't done it, whatcha' waiting for???

Nice! I did the rear fogs on my E90's back when I still had them, and I intend to on my F10 soon. Glad to hear it's still as easy as it was back then. Quick question, does the headlight leveling dial do anything on the US cars?

The leveling dial doesn't do anything, just sitting there looking pretty. |

Between the last two days I’ve conquered a brake fluid flush, oil change, transmission fluid and pan replacement, and swapped from my H&R sway bars back to stock.

Why did you swap the sway bars back to stock?

I got tired of the extra roughness over rough roads around town and speed bumps/entrances to driveways.
For the past few years I traveled mostly up and down the east coast of the US, but now work has me staying within Florida. Long distance highway travel wasn’t bad, it’s really noticeable around town though. |

You also need to have a good transfer pump to get the new fluid in and a way to read the transmission temperature. Some scanners do it, but ISTA makes the process super simple. Just follow the directions and click through to the next step until you’re done. The biggest thing is to be sure to go through the gears and do the final fill at the proper temperature with the engine idling. FCP has a good set of instructions online and a YouTube video I believe. |

Prepare the best you can and make sure to take your time. Be sure to have a quality low range torque wrench. I believe the torque was 10Nm on the pan bolts. (New style bolts are steel, old style was aluminum and only 4Nm + 45 degrees I believe)

Technically hitting a pot hole also makes you body roll. Any transfer of weight from side to side involves the sway bar.

I also did replace all the front and rear suspension components around 30,000 miles ago and it didn’t make a difference in the perceived roughness that the sway bars caused. I’m very happy driving around town now that I’ve swapped back to stock. |
