My front bumper should be in the same boat as yours. We ordered a few days apart. Was asking WK if there's an updated timeframe but they didn't get back to me yet. |

Bro, went to WK today. Told them I am not satisfied with the bumper alignment. I said you guys won't accept the job if the alignment are not done properly like mine. Let's see how it goes.

Yeah that's my biggest worry too. I won't accept it if they can align my bumper properly. I'm thinking of getting the m-sport spoiler too. BMW quoted me $1500 more than what you paid at WK. I'm leaning towards getting it done at BMW.

We should all go together to bully them!
Jxnco, spoiler? U mean rear? Or front splitter? I think just order some random china or Taiwan spoiler for 1500 hkd and stick it on. |

Yep rear spoiler like what RC3 has. Not sure if the ones from China or Taiwan are the same as the m-sport one. I like the M-sport one coz it's really subtle.
With regards to sticking it on, I'm a bit particular about this. I don't want any gaps seen which usually comes from thick 3M tapes. I've seen WK's job on rear spoilers and not too happy with it. |

Just instruct WK to do it right when you guys do your bumper. Make sure we are on the same page. Top alignment could not be up and down and the two fenders has to be fitted tightly. I will be bringing back my car again for them to fix after. Kind of sick going to shop to re-do things now.
For the rear spoiler, WK's workmanship isn't too good. But for this kind of spoiler it has to be taped on, even for BMW. The 3M tape should came with the spoiler so there there is no choice. I think it has to be thick otherwise the spoiler will be loose easily without any real fixings. However BMW might do a better job. For my black car it's more conspicuous for the black tape so it's ok. Jxnco's AW may be more difficult. Even for my 3D lip, it's tape on with bolts inside the fenders. So if look closely can really notice the tape. But Z done a better job and the tape is thinner.

Agree. The tape is black and for my AW car, I can easily see the tape against a white background.
I wonder how it is in Mlai's car. Mlai, Is there a noticeable gap between your spoiler and your trunk? What I mean is can you see the 3M tape in between? Yours was done by BMW right? |

Taiwan and HK BMW cost almost the same at HKD1500 painted, so why not BMW? Since this thread is too long, did I miss something here? |

I think installation is super easy. Just wipe clean the area with alcohol and tape on with 3M tape. Why not use WK to order and paint and DIY the tape on? If order from Taiwan or Mainland guys, have to DIY anyway.

Yeah I'm just afraid I'll mess it up and in the end, will have to send it over to the pros.
If WK didn't do a good job, not sure how much better I can do it. At least if I'm not happy with what BMW did, I can keep on bugging them to fix it and they wont be able to say no. |

Mlai, saw your car parked at one of the estate at cloud view road. Visiting someone? Did not have time to check out your new rims.

See part #1 here, airduct. It needs to bolted as lowest as possible, without forcing. Rule of tumb, bolted until it touches part# 10 here. You'll know what I mean once you see all these parts in your car . In the middle (top side) of the air duct, it has some kind of latch mechanism that is used to hold the middle part of air duct to not flex. Adjustment only one way, top to bottom. Since it will be a re-do, this mechanism must be adjusted at it highest position before mounting the air duct itself. This way, your middle part of the bumper will line up with the middle part of the hood. Keep in mind, the gap between hood and bumper originally was 4mm, no less. So if you have 4mm gauge, it should fit loosely instead of tight. Then the side of msport bumper can be lined up when bolted to the car's frame. The more you push the bumper forward (towards the hood), the higher it will be mounted. About your side gap (fender vs bumper), I don't have this problem. Beside making sure they lining up nicely while bolted, also make sure they have installed the correct bottom cover (#8) that will properly hold lower part (outer side) of the msport bumper. Hope it helps.. |
