Nice! They're awesome - I have the clones and they're fun as hell to use. It's like switching from a membrane keyboard to a mechanical one.

Pick your poison:
https://www.aliexpress.us/w/wholesal....home.search.0 When it arrives, test the resistance values or just open them up and take a look inside at the SMD resistor values. Most of the clones are for F30's, which can be turned into F10 paddles with some simple SMD resistor replacements following this "guide". SMD resistor sizes are 1206. I bought a pack off amazon

Installed a trunk spoiler from Ikon Motorsport today. Used the supplied tape and not 3M tape so we shall see if it holds. Cleaned both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol so it should stay.

I'm very happy with my Ikon piece. Maaaybe pulling up more than I would want on the outside edges, but hasn't progressed any. I think those little spoilers really add to the profile of an already good looking car!

Must be spoiler install weekend because I finally put mine on too. Also used the supplied tape, we’ll see. I did clay, polish, and use panel prep first. This is the ikon lip from Amazon. Such a good deal!

Finally got around to fixing the exhaust valve setup I had custom done for the Remus axleback. Makes a huge difference when closed.
Now I won't bug my neighbors (as much) when I need to do a midnight McDonald's run.

Grabbed this kit from eBay to do my thrust arm bushings! Hoping I can just remove the front bolt and remove and install with this kit!

Got the thrust arm bushings out and powerflex back in! Only thing that happened to me is the bushing tool I used wasn’t deep enough to remove the whole bushing. I had to use the removal cup and a hammer to beat the rest out. Other than that the car feels amazing and the slop and wheel shaking is gone while driving and braking. 10/10

Loooong week in Phoenix during a heat wave and dying AC. We had to rush out in our 528i (long story) with failing AC. I researched to try to figure out the best BMW shop, and came across Babbit's North Scottsdale location with a great reputation. Sooooo glad we settled on them, as they got it right in Friday, and diagnosed it not just as an AC problem, but really a battery problem. Battery was not strong enough, so the car's energy management was turning off the AC compressor in order to power the car. It did also need a refrigerant recharge, but that wasn't the main problem. So yay, found a good shop and the car is running great!
They also discovered a pretty big VC oil leak from the VC that was just replaced two years ago. RRrrggghh... Thrust arms are bad (looks like it's the season!), rear guibo is cracking, and front brake pads are low-ish @ 4mm. I can do the pads and thrust arms, and while the valve cover is doable, just don't know if I want to take it on. Whatcha' all say about guibo... is it just undoing some bolts and putting the new one in? I have a feeling the smaller diff bushings will need replacing as well (I did the large insert previously). Still cheaper than a new car payment! |

Well.... my comfort access door handle drove me nuts. I dissasembled hlaf of car to find out that the problem with ticking noise in doors and rear right panel is because faulty door handle. No errors just car unlocks by itself few seconds after locking etc. Few days later, new door handle arrived, 3 minutes replacement job, and same issue.... uh, i almost set car on fire! 😂😂 then, i tried placing it on front door, and that finally saved issue. After few kms of driving, finally battery discharge message on instrument cluster dissapeared...
