thanks to Burrninja for making me spend more money but he was kind enough to stop by and show me his new roof and trunk spoiler. i've been wanting to do this but from looking at pictures online and all the request i've been asking my fellow members here to take more shots i still couldn't picture the actual size of this thing like how tall does it go up...how far off the trunk does it sit, ext... but now that i finally got to see it in person it's freakin' huge! makes my 3d spoiler look small. anyways, the shitty part is my spoiler is attached with Betalink so i'll have to remove my trunk and drop it to my paint guy to remove the spoiler than respray the whole trunk! anyways, here's some photos of Burrninja's car with the trunk spoiler

redid my bars to a metallic gold as it popped more than the metallic bronze. not sure if pictures does it justice put in person they look sweet

oh damn look what came in!

finally the Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines came in! took forever! also, the Power Booster from ECS came in as well. will need this when i swap the lines out and i'll need to bleed the system

do you have side mirror parking cameras? I've bought cf covers like yours and started to pull apart the stock side mirror only to realize I will need to drill a hole for the camera and also find a way to mount it as its looks like the stock covers have a little holder molded into it?

No cameras in mine. Burrninja I believe had cameras on his? I think he removed it and retrofit them. I think he posted in the DIY. here's the link

Cheers mate but I read through and I think I'm stuck in the same boat as some others. Pre-LCI with side cameras.. the covers I bought cover the whole thing so i would need to retrofit the camera into it somehow...

Just checked the dipstick and its dry. Its only been 400 miles since the install. I don't drive the car much

also on the to do list which should be delivered tomorrow according to the tracking info is my Gladen Alpha One component speakers. my passenger door speaker has been rattling since last year and i've been going back and forth as to which components to go with? either Focal, MBQuartz, Hertz, Bavsound or Gladen's? so i pulled the trigger on the Gladen's since i found a pretty good deal on them. gonna leave the center channel stock as well as the rear shelf speakers since essentially they're just fill ins. still looking for a good deal on the MATCH UP 7BMW 7-channel dsp amp. was thinking about Mosconi but the MATCH UP is straight plug n play. i'm also highly considering adding the RF 12" sealed amp just to satisfy by bass head needs as i know the underseat 8's aren't going to suffice. the RF already has a built in 300 watt amp and with the Match amp having mono RCA output this will allow for the connection of an external subwoofer amplifier the ski port will be left open. i thought about the Musica subwoofer enclosure but for $595 i would still need to buy the sub and the amp. so i'll keep you guys posted on here and on my build thread

surprisingly enough the shop was able to remove my 3d spoiler with just a couple of scratches here and there

fitment is pretty spot on...can't find a single complaint! i used Gorilla tape vs using Betalink lol! won't be doing that again. i really recommend this spoiler if anyone is looking for that aggressive look.

my Gladen Alpha's did show up yesterday! so happy with these as they seem to be built well





i also ordered the BMW connectors for the component speakers as well as the 8's underneath the seat so i don't have to cut the OEM wires.

Yup I hear ya! 2 12" JL's in my Integra, 2 12" Arc's in my Accord, 2 8's in my Tundra and current 2 12" Kickers in my Titan lol! So it was time for the BMW. Kinda sucks with the choices for the BMW to keep it straight pnp.

ordered an 8 gauge amp kit with 40amp fuse. looks like RF recommended 8 gauge is fine over a 4 gauge kit. lol pretty wasteful since i won't use the RCA's, remote wire and only a few feet of the power and ground lol!
