She really has been and I'm glad she is, she has been quite underrated for some time in my opinion despite some fantastic acting. In the horror movie Hereditary she honestly deserved an Oscar for this scene, she was snubbed big time!

So normally I don’t have much against how TV shows are filmed and displayed on TV, but I have a bone to pick with “The Lincoln Lawyer” show on Netflix. While I get it’s supposed to be more dramatic and such, BUT DOES EVERYTHING NEED TO BE SO FCKING DARK?!?! Seriously, their law office is like it’s being lit by a single candle. Same thing in the car. Even in broad daylight everything is super dark. Before anyone says it’s my TV, I closed the curtains and even at night with nothing but the TV lights on, it’s just simply dark. Why do producers/directors feel the need to make it so difficult to see/watch is beyond me. Watch the show and you’ll know what I’m talking about. “Suits” on USA is so bright and open.

/End rant

It's not uncommon. There are several shows that are filmed that way. Ozark is one of them. Every scene is dark no matter if it's daylight or not.

I watch a bunch of things but I really like good World War II dramas… One of the most outstanding things I’ve seen is a Tom Hanks film called Greyhound on Apple TV… Amazing show… It’s the story of a convoy captain in World War II getting stuff to Britain and the wolf pack…

If you like band of Brothers and the Pacific, also Tom Hanks productions, he’s got a new one coming up about the World War II Air Force called masters of the air… About the bombing of Germany

The other is a new show on Netflix called operation mincemeat… If you like World War II spy stuff it’s good.

Completely agree about a lot of stuff being dark these days… It seems to have started about three years ago, I’ve had to set my OLED screen to “vivid” for many things, I never had to do that in the past.

We finished Lincoln Lawyer. I have some mixed feelings about the final episode, which seemed more about setting up the next season than resolving questions about the first, but it was a good watch overall. The final episode did answer some questions but there is one part in particular that doesn't make a lot of sense to me, which I won't get into because it would require a spoiler.

This reminds me of the final season of Game of Thrones. Couldn't see half the battle scenes.

This is even darker, to the point that I struggle to see the details and characters’ faces. Like why does their law office look like a dungeon?

Tx for bringing this up, and it was based on real life?! Glad I dunno anything about that but will have to do research later on. The first episode starts off w a bang.

Cool, would be a good conversation later on.

Didn't recognize Colin Firth at first, I thought of him still looking like in The Kingsman. Same w that Sophie Turner, she looks worse off here also. Almost thought it was that Theon Greyjoy dude as the younger son but nope haha. Interesting to see The Governator's kid, dunno who he resembles aside from him seeming to have a good physique.

Greyhounds pretty good. Of course, my favorite World War II of he also has Tom Hanks, saving Private Ryan. I think the first 15 minutes that movie is the most intense 15 minutes of any movie of any time.

Just started watching NOMAD with Carlton McCoy. I like it, it kind of reminds me of No Reservations just the host is a little less opinionated than Bourdain. LoL. Its a pretty good show though if you are into culture/food shows

5 episodes into The Lincoln Lawyer, good story and good acting. I hope the rest of the season keeps it up. Maybe a season 2 in the future.

I've actually really liked a few episodes of "searching for Italy" with Stanley Tucci. And for anybody wondering, I cannot stand "chopped", which my wife seems to like watching. Too many weird ingredients.

I just finished the first season and there are a lot of open questions, both ex-wives have important decisions to make and I thought the writing was well done. I didn't see the confrontation with the Supervising Judge coming so I'd like to see more.

That's how I felt when I reached S4:E13 of Ozark. Knowing there was only one more episode left gave me anxiety.

I know there’s a lot out there now. I have to say, I don’t think anything can beat Dexter and Breaking Bad. Ozark was good too though.

So much different from when we were young and all we had was channel 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13. Probably different up your way.

Those are the channels I had too.

Was it that way throughout the US?

I had 6, 10 and 12 plus, if I could get the antenna to stay just right, 38 and 56.
