I cant find anything about 535d . Maybe it will come later. But I think the Hartge upgrade is ALOT cheaper in Germany! From Hartges homepage : Leistungssteigerung für 535d und 535d xDrive (Basis 230 kW / 313 PS) 266 kW (362 PS) bei 4400 U/min 730 Nm bei 1800 U/min 2,555.10 EUR inkl. 19% MwSt |

Hi guys
So far the M Performance tuning kit is only for the 4 cyl diesel. A kit for the F20 125i is under development and something for the 335i will come. So far nothing for the big diesels is planned, at least not official. I would appreciate your input regarding how this works, any numbers you can share with is of interest. If you have the space to test, try acc in 4th or 5th from ex 80 until 140 without using kick down, and maybe one running three the gears. Also a little curios to see if you run into problems with the reduced effect codes we have in our country. Regarding warranty, BMW has 2 years 100 000 Km. This goes all over, but in Norway we have a special deal. For cars purchased after 1 january 2011 the warranty is 5 year 200 000 Km. So any factory tuning done abroad could get you into some challenges. Not sure how that will work out. If you do the tuning in Norway you are in the clear. FYI Any tuning outside the BMW system will delete any BMW warranty claims. And yes it can be detected even after the car is put back to stock configurations. |

I will try to find an empty autobahn and accelerate in sport+ mode from 50 km/h to topspeed before and after and take a video of the speedometer, so its easy to compare. Next wednesday it will get done.

Problem with going three the gears is that with the 8 speed gearbox the revs are basically staying in an area where the torques is on the way down. |

I can try, but when Im in manual mode it changes gear anyway if the revs are too high or low. Anyway, I think they also reprogram the transmission so it will fit the new setup, but I will give it a try :-)

After I saw this post here I contacted the main distributor in Turkey for this upgrade for my F10 520d Auto. The contact person was not even aware of "M Performance Parts" He said he would contact Germany and inform me about whether they can order the kit from Germany and install it here. I am waiting for him to get back to me. In the meantime, I would love to hear Touring's own experience so far.

I just came back now
And feels like I got a new car. Before it felt like it lost its breath when I needed power, but now its enough to stay in the left lane on the autobahn without any problem. I took it for a ride on the best part of the autobahn I know, between Kassel and Frankfurt. Nurburgring was not open for tourists this week, so could not go there. For a while I was following a F10 525d that really got the need for speed on the twisty part , and it felt like we had about the same performance. When they installed it, They had some software problems, so it took them three days to get it to work, they had to do some reprogramming in München. But now the problem is solved :-) I took som videos with my mobile of the speedometer, will come back with the numbers later. Some of it I guess is placebo, but I did not take the risk of a randomized double-blinded test on the autobahn But from 160 and above it was really something different. I will come with some objective numbers later. |

Great news, are you sure that regular service in Norway that requires software updates on the car wont break it?
What I see now is that it is also available on the swedish bmw site as well. I will ask for a price tomorrow. |
