Not sure about the beta status. If you message MHD of Facebook they'll answer you.
As far as my flash choice check out this excerpt from the handbook. Q: I don’t have a FMIC installed on my car yet, is it safe to run one of the FMIC maps and is it safe. A: Yes, you can run one of the FMIC OTS maps, but it is recommended that you datalog, and ensure the car is not knocking, and the IATs and fueling remain healthy. We advise against using Step up MAP on cars without the recommended parts if using for track days and sustained aggressive driving. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, MHD is not responsible for any damage done to your car using MAPs intended for modified vehicles without the recommended upgrades. So, I spend the majority of my time babying my 535i commuting. So I went for the 2 map for the occasional burst of fun. I am 47 and have self control, if your still driving like Ken Block everywhere you go then you better keep it conservative until you get that fmic and meth. |

Tonight I flashed the MHD stage 1 E30 map (included in the ethanol map pack) and put in 5 gallons of E85 to 9 gallons of 92. I had also changed plugs last night to the NGK 95770 gapped to .020. On a stock PWG N55, there doesn't seem to be much advantage. Logs look fairly clean, boost 14ish mid, 10psi up top with perhaps a bit more timing. IAT around 104 so today was hotter. Maybe it doesn't feel quite as good as the initial 93 stage 1 flash because of the higher air temps today (83f).
I just don't think there is much advantage on a tiny PWG that can't generate enough boost up top. On my E90 N54, an E30 mix would generate substantial gains - this one is sort of meh... Theoretical question: Assuming equal timing and boost on a given car, will an E30 mix make more or less power than 93? I'm assuming it will make a little less... |

So finally installed the OTS Stage 1 (took 30 minutes to install), and car feels fast as shit. Did a few logs, and since I have no idea on how to read them, I would like someone to decipher them for me.

I've been running the stage 1 E30 map for a little while now... About 5 gallons of E85 with 9 gallons of 92 premium unleaded. Seems that the ECU is adapting a little and the car seems to be running stronger, even with some higher ambient temps in the area. It's now a good deal more responsive and powerful than the 93 map. The longer I'm running it, the stronger it is getting. With the 93 map there wasn't much variability. The jump isn't as significant as going from stock map to stage 1 93, but it is a very noticeable bump and recommended if you have access to E85 (and you don't mind going contrary to BMW's ethanol recommendations). I have the NGK 95770 plugs gapped to .020".

These 3 datalogs are no good because you are only giving it 50-75% throttle......do a proper log and then post it if u can. Thanks !!!

Took one yesterday on 91-95 octane tune with 93 octane in the tank. My IATs are out of wack and accordingly to MHD I need an aftermarket FMIC. Does anyone else have this issue? During normal cruising my IAT was 99 F, but shot up to 122 F once I goosed it.
https://datazap.me/u/harris69/may229...og=0&data=3-14 This was my second datalog after switching to it from 93-98 octane tune. |

Just did the MHD Stage 1 on an otherwise stock 2011 535i 6-speed. Very smooth and the butt dyno says the car is more awake, feels closer or even with a 2011 335i (e90). Process went smoothly, plugged car into charger, used bimmergeeks pro cable, followed instructions. I also got some fraud messages, but you can use two cc's or you can paypal.

Hello all. Still rocking Stage 2 on my fairly stock 535i and love it. Getting 24mpg in mixed driving and is so much fun when I give it the beans. I did have one super knock incident, but a fresh set of spark plugs and all is good. After the super knock i went done to the 91 octane tune until I could change the plugs.
MHD is great. |

Not hitting any torque limiters, not pulling timing on any one cylinder. Do you have fresh spark plugs? Maybe find some better gasoline and/or mix with E85. Good log, by the way - hammer down in 4th all the way up to almost 7k rpm. |

Moving to Alaska is not an option 😀 . Got brand plugs but not sure on the gap as my mechanic put them in. Also running a 91 tune with 93 octane in the tank.
I plan on checking the gap and waiting on VRSF to release their intercooler. In the meantime stock intercooler it is. |

Perhaps wait until morning to get a pull in a 65 degrees? Could just be heat. If your car is 100%, I would not expect any timing pulls at 65-70 degrees ambient temp WITH GOOD QUALITY GASOLINE. For giggles, I'd switch brands of fuel.
