Well, what is right really? I'm not sure this was, as I believe they were so aggressive that luigimaster24 is getting 5mm shaved off the hub to increase the offset.

You are right Luigi had rubbing but Luigi picked his own offsets because he wanted to go as aggressive as possible. The original offset suggestion was what he reverted to

To anyone that wants to know what offsets I went with on the Forged 1 Wheels.
Fronts: 21x9 et25 Rears: 21x10.5 et35 I definitely had some rubbing issues on the rear considering I was slammed on KW V3's, however, the rubbing was minimal when I had them at the H&R spring ride height. Last edited by luigimaster24; 07-22-2011 at 11:54 PM.. |

This was before removing the 5mm. Using the Forged 1 recommended offsets you will not rub assuming a 255/39/21 and 295/25/21.
20x10.5 et35 = rubbing 21x10.5 et40 = no rubbing For reference the wheels you picked up are the equivalent of 20x10.5 et42 so you will not rub. On 20" the tires have more sidewall so a less aggressive offset is required. |

I have a question on the KWs; or any coilover for that matter. When adjusting the height (drop); i assume you have to take the wheels off each time? So the initial trial and error might consist of 3-4 on/offs of the wheels?

I have to say this was a great thread to read. I just got a 2010 535! (E60) 1st BMW. Lovin it. But i feeling that very bumpy and want more control and shock absorption. This thread was very helpful. I think i will order KW street comfort. Since i wont be racing on any track but still want that tightness and control. I think the hardest part is finding a company where i live to install it the correct way.

Have any of you out there heard similar news? Any views on whether it would be a good idea to install this set up? I have so far followed the path of the topic author and installed H&R sports springs on my 535, which rides on stock suspension with no DHP/AD. And, as much as I like the way the car has improved with the new springs, there is still a lot to be desired (handling, floatiness)

Im running H&R's on my 2012 535Xi and its perfect. i wanted to go coils but i have edc, and etc. so I'm not sure if they came out with a model for xdrive and with dec control. The H&R's are doing justice with my Vossen VFS-2. Front-20x9(245) Back-20x10.5(275)
