My estimated delivery date was July 30th and now I'm told it's end of August

I've seen posts about US dealers mucking about with allocations but I've never heard a whisper of that in the UK so there must be a valid reason...

I've been waiting for a message saying delivery is delayed all day, but nothing. Deliver window is 9am to 1pm tomorrow, and I'm taking a taxi in. Also sold my E60 today. If I'm told it's delayed a month tomorrow...
Saying that, I do have a License Plate (and have had for a week). The bad news is my 520d auto, which is listed as 123g/km of CO2 was bumped up to 127g/km by the 18" style 328 wheels. Nudges me up on the tax... |

Soz about the tax but on the bright side you'll have some nice shiny big wheels to look at every day...

I missed the RTTI update to the nav system last year by a 5 day build date change. I hope you all get it but be prepared for a disappointment. I am so frustrated by constantly getting the old model on a September 1st delivery that I am considering switching to march.

Bad news I'm afraid. Despite the plaque on the door piller stating July build. And having other 2013 build markers, such as the "CD" button on the iDrive controller cluster now saying "Media" instead...
I've got the old Pro Nav system. Actually the first time I've had a car with built in sat nav, and the big screen etc looks great. For now I guess I won't miss what I never had... Here hoping I just missed some arbitrary cutoff, and the delays others are seeing will at least result in the new system. |

Yes, the F10 screen is impressive - much more so when you are actually in the car and close up than in photographs. Thanks for taking time to update us so quickly - it is appreciated.

How the hell is that possible? Your car has all the signs of being a 2013 car and the change from CD to Media button but the old Nav? This would totally suck if this is true.
What week was your car built? are you 100% sure you don't have the new nav? Alan

I was just browsing the 2013 F01 7 Series is up on the bmwusa.com web site and it shows that it will have the new navigation system just like the schedule that Jason posted said it would.
Now the new system i believe will have only a 20GB harddrive where as the old one has 80GB, can you check to see what is available on your 2013 F10?

On the BMW website for the new 7 it says 20GB for music storage.
Entertainment Server: 20 GB hard drive with USB port for media transfer Maybe what Jason meant for 200GB was the entire system including music storage, nav maps etc... For the 2012 F10 the bmwusa.com website says: The integrated Hard Disk Drive offers an ample 12 GB of storage for importing your favorite music from CDs, MP3 players, or USB sticks. The F10's total system storage is 80GB Now, not only does your vehicle store directions to your favorite locations, it can access the soundtrack to the drive. The 5 Series is equipped with an 80GB hard drive, storing an Electronic Owner’s Manual, navigation system, saved maps, and entertainment server—capable of uploading your music, photos, and files from the CD and DVD reader or USB port. So for those who've received their 2013 F10's already could check if your car has the new 20GB/200GB combo or the old 12GB/80GB combo it would tell you if you have the new hardware or not.

I think it might be the option list and adding Adaptive Drive at the last minute - but who knows? We're talking BMW here

This is the problem I thought would occur and hence the reason for my original post.
A little clarity from BMW would be nice! Sorry to see you didn't get the new nav richiemail, but the old nav is still miles ahead of anything else |

One thing to note is that Richie's build was completed on 4th July. Perhaps it started at the end of June and just missed the cut over....
Time will tell.

i am wondering if its a UK thing. My 535 also finished production on 7/4 and I was scheduled for week 27 build. It only takes a few days from start to finish so it sounds about right. I specifically told my SA that i wanted my F10 to be a July build and he even said that for any 2013 orders production doesn't start until week 27/July. Anything prior were 2012's.
I am just thinking since cars in europe get different options/packages that this could be the reason. Do different models get different options/packages in europe? We will all know very soon since there are a bunch of F10's at the US ports now waiting to be released. I would be furious if bmw really does screw a few hundred 2013 F10's owner just by a few days or weeks. It would not make any sense for them to roll something out like this. Alan
