Golly gee! I bought this sweet used Bimmer for a great price. The dude says the musty smell will go away, and the electrical system gremlins are just a blown fuse.

This whole damn thread makes me so mad!
...Not for the fact that this beautiful cars have been lost, but the way that people have been talking about it. C'mon, nobody lost their lives, most of these cars will be paid off by the insurance because of all the water damage. It's not like they lost a relative or someone close to them, can you imagine if they had, would they be more worried about the material things?
This here really pisses me off. "my brother had 6 feet of water in his garage Ferrari 360 Bentley Flying Spur G55 Ford Rousch F150" Why is brother here keep all these expensive cars in his garage when they had plenty of warning of the areas where the storm would hit the hardest. I feel sorry for the owners of the car, but it would be worse if it had been a loved one they had lost. Be thankful. |

They're insured anyway.

He probably means the building's garage had those cars in it, not his brother himself. Just guessing.
My sister's building in lower NYC was flooded up to the mirrors, anyone who didn't move it has a total loss on their hands. She was able to beg/plead with another garage on higher ground a day or two in advance, others not so lucky. You can imagine it wasn't easy to find high ground parking in the city on short notice. |

Hope everyone is safe, the cars can always be replaced. But sad to see.

Any pics of the Baltimore VPC? My car landed on Parsifal on Saturday. I've checked with the VPC and they said they had zero storm related damage to inventory. A picture of the facility would make me feel better though.

A post in poor taste given so many lost their homes, not just their cars. Some perspective goes a long way.
