yeah, as I said, it is saying "In Transit" for the last 8 days, and it has been sitting in the port for the last 15 days. Well, I will give it another week or two at the very most, and then it will all be about getting my deposit back it looks like, as this is not right at all. If I did something like this in my line of work, let's just say that it would not be my line of work anymore, so why treat anyone differently?

Yeah, if one or two more weeks and you have not heard anything, you should just cancel your order and re-order it somewhere else. It would delay things but at least it would be more on pace like everyone else.

Nope. I just called and it stills stays that my car is "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel."

salamigs, I was in the same boat as you. 535i same color and interior as you, built first week in October, West coast delivery, showing "awaiting transport" on bmwusa.com, but "in transit" through the phone system. I just heard back from the dealer that the car in fact left Bremerhaven on October 12th and is scheduled to arrive in Port Hueneme on November 3rd via a W&W ship named Toledo. Hopefully your car is on board as well.

Hey ryanmg! Happy for you on your progress. When exactly did you hear from your dealer with respect to the shipping assignment, and what prompted that? Did you ask, or did they contact you?
Also, is the status still the same on the bmwusa website and the automated system? I feel very happy for you, and while I have the glimpse of hope that either myd ealer screwed up or the information was not fed to them properly and my car is on the water too. But the fact that I cannot plan for its arrival is going to create havoc when it appears all of a sudden too...

Here is an update on Week 41 built.
My car is on the water in the Vessel called Porge. It will arrive in the port Hueme near Los Angeles. The ETA of arrival according to my sale rep is November 17th.

salamigs, I emailed the salesman today and this thread prompted me to ask. Yes, the status as of today on the website is still "awaiting transport" and through the phone system is still "in transit." When I asked the salesman about the status a week or so ago he said the car was still in Bremerhaven, but today was able to obtain the actual shipping information fairly quickly. I really need to know the status of its arrival because the F10 is actually for my mom. I plan to buy her current E60 535i that comes off lease on Nov 5th and need sell my 2003 330i ZHP as well. It’s amazing that in 2003 I was able to track my 330i through its VIN on the W&W shipping website fairly easily, but seven years later the tracking system is less functional.

Sounds like we all got good news today. Mine left Bremerhaven on the 23rd and is expected in Baltimore on the 5th. If was a pleasant surprise considering the phone system said awaiting transport last night and I was hoping to get on a ship this weekend.

Well, I just got the update from the dealer that my order has been on Toledo all this time . It left Bremerhaven on 10/13 (as opposed to its scheduled time of 10/12 I guess), and is due in California on 11/04. At least some more sense has been injected to the process .

Great we're still in the same boat. Interestingly bmwusa.com now shows the car as "En Route." It also looks like Toledo moored today at the mouth of the Panama Canal waiting its turn to transit to the Pacific. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/

yup, we are on the same boat both literally and figuratively as I noticed BMWUSA.com making the long awaited transition to "En Route" for me only this morning ~10am. Which prompted me to call the dealer to get the info out.
Immediately after that, I logged only the WW site, but VIN search does not return anything. I noticed the ship stopped in Panama for deliveries, and is now waiting for its turn to get to the west side of the continent. Apparently its allowance is only for tomorrow though . Good news is that I/we do not have to go through the agony of waiting 23 more days, as it is expected to anchor in Port Hueneme on 11/04 (probably will be one or two days later than that though, but still...) Overall excited...

Actually CarBrain, I have some jealousy still with respect to this ordering experience, as I put my order on August 7th. The car went through manufacturing on October 6th. I say better late than never, and hope for the best driving experience down the road, but I am also flabbergasted on how long it took compared to you guys. And this was only partly due to teh retooling of the factory in August as I understand.
In the process, I got the September upgrades, which I did not know about, so it turned out good, but still... At any rate, knowing where the car is and what it is doing right now is a peace of mind

Toledo is delayed by one day at this point in time, as I think it took a little longer than expected to go through the canal. It is showing 11/5 instead of 11/4 with respect to docking in Port Hueneme now.

Hey folks,
How long do you figure for customs clearance and through VPC (knock on wood for no problems) and the flatbed to the final destinations?

Mine lands in Baltimore on the 5th, so I'm hoping for delivery by the end of next week. I assume VPC works through the weekend. That would be best case

Mine must be on the Porge as well, since my dealer told me my car was expected into Oxnard on Nov. 17th.

salamigs, Toledo is closing in on Port Hueneme, currently about 20 mile south of San Diego. My 2003 took about a week to go through the VPC and arrive in Phoenix.
