Did you pay tax up front? First month payment? Bank fee? Your 0 down quote is misleading. How much was do at signing?

JermieX6, that still sounds too good to be true... give us more details. Money factor? Capital cost? How many security deposits? That first's month payment doesn't even seem to jive. You're definitely leaving something out.

No idea what NY state tax is, but assuming 7% and assuming you only put down one security deposit, a MF of .00190, and residual of 61%.. you're capital cost would have needed to be almost $64500 and I'm not even including other fees. You're drive off (due at signing) would have needed to be at least $2500 unless of course you're forgetting something? Just sounds wayyyy too good to be true, no disrespect meant. Do you know the owner of the dealership or some shit? To get a payment so low with what you've told us would literally mean the dealership made no money and/or took a loss....
I mean 830 * 36 is only ~$30K on a 71K MSRP? Something sounds off..

You make no sense. How would your payments have been higher if you payed taxes up front? yet you got them rolled in and your payments came out to $598 as opposed to $895? really now.

Jermie,
You need to share your MOJO with all of us.. to go from 71K MSRP to 64K cap cost on a 550 is pretty steller. How'd you manage that? 2011 in August, take delivery of a vehicle on the lot just as the dealer was getting a shipment of 2012s? Good deal bro

This thread can be a double edged sword. I think I got a good deal... but if I post it and find out I got taken then I'll be bummed for the next 35 months or every time I look in my garage, whichever comes first

Average deal. Nothing to be mad about.. especially if it's a 2012. It's essentially $1K under invoice. Most dealerships offer that sort of deal as an "online special" and then try to con you into other crazy crap when you get there in person. So you did good..... since you actually got them to stick to it. The only thing that would make it bad is if they played some crazy shit on a trade-in and you didn't tell us about it.

Ok, here it goes. Hopefully I did ok. I can't find the info on the residual or money factor right now.
Something worth mentioning... the trade equity was a previous lease that I traded in when i picked this up. That car (Lexus IS350) was a zero-down lease and because i was under my mileage and had a favorable residual, I was able to squeeze a few bucks to help the payment on this car. I know it's the same as putting $ down, but I wasn't going to go through the hassle of buying it out and trying to resell it, so this worked to my benefit. I was planning on using that $ to get me something nicer to replace the Lexus with anyway. 2011 535i Prem1, Prem2, Sports Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, Sport Auto Trans MSRP: $61,575 Selling Price (before trade): $55,300 Trade Equity: $2,516 Lease Term: 36 months, 10k/year Cash @ Signing: ~$2,900 (Tax, Tags, fees, 1st Month Payment) Monthly Payment: $648 |
