The shadowed kidney grills and the shark fin may say BMW, but the quad exhaust doesn't. I doubt this is a M5 prototype so that leaves us back at square one.
Also remember, that it IS a camo'ed car. So the kidney shadow line could be part of the camo as well as the sharkfin. Likewise the quad exhaust could also be put on to throw it off, however I doubt that since it would effect the car's driving a bit more.

They went to a lot of trouble to disguise this car -- I thought "Volvo" too....
But you can see that the fenders and doors are just tacked on... good eye spotting the kidneys underneath the big front mesh... Big kidneys and the dual exhausts in the rear are probably both for that TWIN TURBO V8!!! |

I used to be a 5 series owner b4 they changed the shape. I went to a 7 bow a 335xi. My 540i 6mt was the hottest thing back in 01.... BMW really screwed things up with the new shape. Looks like they are goosestepping backwards yet once again. G-d, they really need to accept input from CURRENT BMW OWNERS like us.

With all that cladding on it, it looks like an MG zt or some type of Korean car. Please let the future bmw designs "come good again" I mean the 335i looks great but what about the rest of the "bangalised"BM's

From what I can see, the next 5 series is going to look really nice. The e60 has some unsightly features like the headlights and taillights, and trunk. You can't really see the lights in this car, but the overall shape, looks nice and smooth. Kind of like a cross between the current 3 sedan and the current 6 series.
