Just sold my 2011 535i with 200k miles. Still a
Rock solid car. I did a bunch of preventative maintenance but it never stranded me or broke down. Still got 31 mpg on highway.

I picked up a 2016 535i with 52k miles on it. I drove a lot for work and the F10 is perfect blend of comfort and sport with good highway mpg....can't beat it as far as I'm concerned.

Amazing. The n55 will go far if maintenance is kept up.

I know im an f32 , but I still have the n55 lol, I recently just hit 100k miles it was a bittersweet moment, so far only problem was the OFHG at 56k miles, still running on original water pump and tranny fluid, although i might change out the waterpump and thermostat soon and definetly due a trasmission fluid service soon as well.

What mileage did you guys walnut blast?

Im glad to see these engines last, I only bought mine in June of 2019 with 41k miles, I just love driving it I guess.

100k is honestly nothing for a n55. Keep up with oil changes and maintenance. Change water pump for piece of mind. Don't think many n55 do walnut blasting

everything bone stock, coils everything is original except 2 spark plugs which damaged when I tried to pull them out for inspection. Other than that it’s. just regular maintenance repairs, control arms, one wheel bearing, rotors pads and axles

Good to know. Our 2015 with 140k miles (225k kms) is a baby in comparison but likewise trucking along.

Have you needed to walnut blast it?

Runs great with that slight oil pan leak I've been putting off for years!! If it wasn't xdrive I would have addressed it a long time ago but with out a proper lift I won't bother.

just addressed a coolant leak a few days ago.. was worried it was water pump but after doing some tests and poking around it turned out the Mickey Mouse flange (which I updated years ago) O-ring cracked and was causing a slight leaking down the front of the engine pooling right below the WP. WP sounded great during bleed procedure.

at around 140k there was a bunch of stuff though; front suspension (mostly lower), motor mounts, guibo (flex disc), a caliper, rear springs (one broke).

2014 BMW 540i xDrive M-Sport

I have 230,000 miles on my 2014 F10 with N55. It has been a great car! She still drives silky smooth. I have only had to do the expected stuff - oil filter gasket and oil pan gasket around 100k. Valve gasket and valve gasket cover around 140k. There was nothing wrong with the water pump, but replaced it preventatively at 145k. I still have original Vanos solenoids, fuel injectors, HP fuel pump, etc .

I have followed the maintenance schedule. I use Techron fuel system cleaner every 2,000 miles. I have never had the walnut blasting. I should have had the transmission fluid drained (not flushed), but never have done this due to being told by BMW it has "lifetime transmission fluid", though I know different now. At this point, why even bother . The transmission does not slip and also is still silky smooth.

I love this car and will keep it because it is a classic. It is my daily for now, but I will retire her to my weekend car at 250k. I have a 2023 540i xDrive M-sport that will become my daily once I hit 250k. Hope that G30 with the B58 will turn out just as good!
