Well damn, that worked like a charm Only cost $50 and turnaround was 24hrs. Process was super easy to perform as well - a USB drive and the files they email you is all it takes.

Have you been able to access the store? I couldn't a year ago, called the customer service number and the lady told me they had to disable it. Not challenging, just curious.

I can't access the store - I just get the QR code displayed on the screen.

Do you still get the red, yellow & green "highlights" on the roads when not using NAV like the old ConnectedDrive RTTI?

Odd, the Canadian ConnectedDrive store still has ARTTI available for my vehicle and I still have the option of extending the service along with renewing my existing ConnectedDrive package. I have a 2016MY vehicle.

The discontinuation is due to AT&T shutting down their 3G network in U.S. in February 2022, so BMW will not be able to provide any connected services to cars equipped with 3G cellular. I'm afraid the same will apply to the Navituning hack.

In Canada there should be a different provider who did not announce shutting down their 3G yet.

BMW should source another provider or offer upgraded equipment for interested owners.

Did some more research on this. It looks like for Canadian cars, Rogers provides cellular access. The anticipated sunset for Rogers 3G network is December 31, 2025 giving us Canadian owners a bit more time with the ConnectedDrive services.

The sad thing is that Peiker made it possible to upgrade the TCB and only an exchangeable internal part (NAD module with Peiker MDM6200, PN V1082) of the TCB needs to be upgraded to support 4G (Peiker NAD PN V1140)

I pulled the trigger as well and mine is showing the TI instead of RTTI (like in your picture). Does it mean it was activated? I'm a little confused.[IMG]undefined[/IMG]

Yes, the icon will say "TI" in the US and RTTI elsewhere in the world.

Has anyone actually tried to install this? What's to guarantee that the car will even communicate with BMW over 4G on the receiving end once the lights are shutoff for 3G in the US?

I really hope BMW will provide options to those with 3G. There a lot of owners out there that can benefit from it, plus they will continue to make money from the products and services compatible. Otherwise, it's water technology.

On a similar note, my subscription expired a week or so ago and I'm still getting the traffic info. I just plugged a NAV destination and the overlapping car with the TI symbol appeared in the lower right of the map.

I have many different colors on the screen (sorry still new to this since I had my car for about a month). I will post a picture tomorrow so you can see. It seems to do what it's supposed to do, in my opinion.

Thank you, yes I seem to have the colors mentioned. On my drive I saw green colors on the side of the road I was driving where there was no traffic, so it makes sense.
