I used an M14x1.25 tap to chase (clean up) the original threads after the wheel shop cross threaded the bolt. This allowed me to keep using the stock wheel bolt for a while, but the threads in the hub eventually stripped.
My attempt at making a larger thread with an M14x1.25 insert failed. |

n3985 i have used this helicoil and fixed the thread and on top of that i have upgraded to studs setup and using it now . i have not used any thread inserts or helicoil inserts , just tapped the thread and cleaned it and applied red thread locker and installed the studs and torqued to 25ftp.
