Don't like the look of the hex. I got the anthracite on my 550xi... and it's stunning in person - dark, rich, and classy. I think it makes the interior also feel "warmer." As some others have said, the hex just feels a bit too "cold" to me.
That said, it's obviously also personal choice, like colors. At the end of the day, none of our opinions really matter... what matters is what you want to stare at while in the car... some may prefer purple velvet if it were an option!

i have the black high gloss trim and I think this is really good as under most lighting conditions it almost looks like piano black trim and it goes really well with a light interior and the best of all, its standard equipment in my country

I LOVE the hex in my black interior. The one drawback is that it gets hotter than hades in the summer, and colder than a witch's left t*t in winter!

I've got the dark ash trim in my current (soon to be replaced) 520d and I think it suits the car. Definitely recommend the dark wood, although perhaps aluminium trim suits the m-sport a little more.

The aluminum hex looks much better in person, doesn't show scratches, and is easy to clean.
Every car in the world has goofy wood interior...aluminum looks special and very high end. CF accessories inside really bring it out too.
