I think as a brand it just attracts a different crowd, nothing wrong with that. BMW attracts people who enjoy driving performance and the driving experience, while Lexus is more reliable appliance luxury.

Since signing up here on Bimmerpost, I'm surprised by the number of folks who actually wrench on their Bimmers and/or do non-trivial mods. I guess I had fallen prey to the stereotypes about us. I've been a Ford guy for decades and there are some serious wrenches on a couple of the Ford forums, but I'm glad there are some wrenches here too. I haven't done serious wrenching on my Bimmer yet, but I'm not opposed to the idea of doing so once it's out of warranty - which will be some time this winter I'm thinking. My hoist is rated to 8,000 pounds, so there's no telling what sort of mischief I may get into. It's definitely a vehicle worth skinning my knuckles on.

if they were born in homeland, yes. and they move their hands when they talk.
wine and bread is always on the table, lots and lots of food.
they have pride in making the sauce from scratch.
now depending what part of Italy they come from, they have different dialects.

sounds cool. I always loved that culture of Americanized Italians and how they brought their home to parts of NY!!

Wouldn't work, the 500mA output of the USBs are too low for real pleasure

I was born and raised in Bensonhurst. Agree on the food and everything else above. If you don't have leftovers, you didn't cook enough food. I can easily cook for 20 but have a problem cooking for one.

Verified. The second wife was half Italian, half German. Gorgeous and shady as hell, but damn if she couldn't cook.

That's a brave confession. And that's some thick oil, wow...I used to use 15w40 in old American V8s where you could measure the main bearing clearance with a tape measure.

Driving 2+ hours after dinner/Red Bull. Didn't have more than a sip with dinner. Couldn't find a Home Depot to stop. Pulled off thought I saw Lowe's. Suddenly there are cops behind, going both ways cross street. Pulled into a condo complex to dump the cup so I could fill it back up, but I had already spilled all over my crotch, AND my shirt was tucked in. Tough to fill a cup with such a little one sitting in the driver seat

Drove a few more streets down and dumped the cup down a drain. A bit further and the trash cans were out so I stopped and deposited the cup

On the way back to freeway found a little shopping center with a dark corner so I could drop my shorts next to the car and put on dry ones

TL: DR. I peed my shorts

I hate how everyone blames the pandemic. I just had a meeting yesterday with a company who has been dragging their feet with terrible customer service. "Well, you know the pandemic has slowed things down". Why? You are at 100% staff. Does your fucking mask make you walk slower? What is going on here? It shouldn't impact communication.
