Well, getting my first flash from DS today, and the meth kit is on it's way... lol - I really appreciate what you guys say but I also can't ignore what DS is telling me. PLUS, IF it doesn't work out, I too also want this mod to lower the IAT's, cleaning, etc. There are a lot of benefits. Snow 2.5 with the safeties, warnings, gauge etc was only 360 SHIPPED. Pretty inexpensive if you ask me!

I have used boost juice. I used Heet and Water then Wanted to test out the M1 so i disconnected my port for fueling and opted for meth and was a huge mistake + $. Everything David is telling you is true. You will make power using meth for fuel. But as i stated b4 it has its major downfalls and there are more safer routes to not risk blowing the motor. All it takes is 1 leak, have your car sit overnight with that check valve or solenoid open and motor is done upon start up. You will wash away all the oil on whichever cylinder, bearing goes bye bye and new motor time. Be careful, i dont want to see this route.

so here is the results of my M1 getting clogged inside the nozzle. After this ordeal went back to just cooling. That m1 is very corrosive.

Wow… that can't be just from methanal. An alcohol won't turn into that on it's own unless it reacted with something!!! That is nasty.

How often did you check your lines? I am reading it is a regular maintenance item… like monthly.

I picked up 5 gallons of meth the other day and asked the guys about this at the track and they call this 'white death' - it comes from leaving 100% meth sitting too long in the system and the alcohol starts to evaporate away leaving this residue behind. I am reading that I'll need to check my filters/sprayer etc frequently until I see what the regular service interval is. It's crazy how much information is NOT out there on this topic. I'm going to be reviewing quite often until I can establish safe inspection intervals. Some guys are only doing it once every 6 months - but the guys at the track said if you car sits for a long time and there is no movement in the fluid then that's an issue... maybe that's why there is a purge function cause if you can't purge when you fire your car up, and you get a warning of a clogged line... then you know something is up. Bottom line is that it's a risk like anything else, but if you are on top of things and watching what's going on I don't think there will be an issue.

Oh, and I got my base map from DS for 93 - I have to drive conservatively until he reviews the logs but already HUGE difference. I'm building up to and holding 22 lbs of boost from 3500-4500... can't wait to see how this plays out.

To continue sharing my journey and learning here:
So I got some clarification from DS on HOW he's going to use the Methanol. For a 93 map he's going to use it in limited capacity only to increase rail pressure of the straight 93 octane gas and while that will increase octane a bit, he is not going to increase timing and create a situation where if there is a failure it'd do any damage. He always falls back on the fact that I might end up only pushing 93 through there... so that's good to know. Now, when I get an e50 mix (need the MHD flex fuel module to work on our platform) along with the methanol that is a completely different story because if there is a methanol failure, the octane of what's left over and the drop in fuel rail pressure will not put the engine in jeopardy. There are other management safeguards that will come into play when fuel rail pressure drops if there is a meth failure and so he WILL then be able to turn up timing and really push the car. He felt like overall the extra fueling is safe and I shouldn't see any problems with the safeguards built into the 2.5 kit and as long as I'm on top of maintenance. |

Alrighty boyz... If you didn't know MHD had a release and guess what? This is now supported per BimECU and David Shoup:
https://www.bimecu.com/mhd-can-flexf...ickinstall-kit We now have a more economical way to run flex fuel. Other updates: I asked DS what he thought the n55 could handle and he said 600-650 WTQ and 650 WHP. That would just about tap out the PS2 on an aggressive tune. These are my goals... e50, 100% meth, nostrom injectors that are good for 700-750 hp and then let's rock and roll. May or may not need LPFP with the 100% meth supporting rail pressure but I might upgrade any way. Need to move meth tank to trunk :-( |

yes you can use it for both but i assume your using M1 and then mixing it with E50. Cant you just raise the fuel pressure within the tune?
