More progress to report, I've got ZGW flashed, and the newer FRM also flashed and coded. Right now everything seems to be working as if this care came from factory with LEDs.
Here is my summary of parts to get it to work with my Pre-LCI f10 with CIC: 1x ZGW High Plus code to car 1x FRM from 2014 plus (one with the 2 SWE labeled in a table not 4) 1x Set of LED lights complete 1x Custom wiring harness to mimic exact connections from rear fuse box all the way to headlights (wanted to it to be reversible) I'm happy to share my FA/SVTs if anyone else is tackling this. |

Well done. Reall cool. Unfortunately I could not get my hands on the Full Led headlights with all the modules.
I'm now searching for the partnumbers of the pin 6 (Cornering_light) on the FRM3. These are the bigger ones in the A58*2B/3B connectors. 1.5mm2 wire. Does someone have the partnumber? Thanks |

Most likely item 3 for female and 6 for male connectors :

Got all the cabling done. But still stuck in the TMS initialization step. It does not initialize, keeps failing on 'replace FRM'. FRM is ok though. |

Also, I really think the ZGWs with the "plus" in the name are only for x drive cars where the steering rack (EPS) is powered by 24v and not 12v..since every time I've looked at a "plus" module, its from a x-drive car, whether an F10, or F01 or F06/F12.. So I think the standard ZGW2 High should work after flashing, or at least ones from 2012 or later. If I had more time, I'd have tried other ZGW2 high modules(just not my original one).

If you have added Pre-LCI Adaptive headlights then you don't need CAN3, you have to connect pin 9 of headlight to pin 7 of and Pin 10 of headlight to pin 25 of FRM connector A58*2B for the Left Headlight and same pins on right headlight to pins 42 and 24 of FRM connector A58*2B. Next, you should be able to just add 524 to your FA and VO Code the FRM and TMS modules. If you've done this and still getting error, first double check your wiring is done to correct pins and connector. |

Hi, indeed Pre-LCI Bi-Xenon to Adaptive Xenon. pin 9 and pin 10 on headlights are already connected to the FRM for both the headlights because I had bi-xenon already. only pin that I had to connect was pin 6 (cornering light) to the FRM. That I did.
I had to also change one TMS module, because that one broke because of moisture in the headlight. The TMS module I have left is the 7316208 with BIX 07 on it. Where the AHL version do have AHL 07 on it. Not sure if these 7316208 are suitable for AHL as well, or only work for Bi-Xenon. I can communicate with the TMS via tool32 and can read their tms_ids (left and right). The left one is 0013 and the right one is 0213. Is this ok that they are different? Still I get stuck on initializing the tms modules, saying I have to replace the FRM. My believe now is that one tms (7316217 AHL 07) and one 7316208 (BIX 07) does not work properly together. |

You can try this, connect only one headlight, preferably the one with the AHL module and then code it to the car with e-sys (ensuring your car has 524 included in the FA). and then check if that headlight by itself works. as in moves when you start the car. But I will bet your BIX module doesn't have enough HW populated on it to cater for the adaptive functions.. Last edited by addy27; 04-14-2020 at 05:16 PM.. |

You should also be able to code the car now to have the Glare Free High Beams, if its not automatically setup! (That is if you have either the High beam Assist camera or the KAFAS camera)

Actually for F10s I think you're right. This document alludes to option 524 BUT with KCAN3 connected to headlights, which are LCI.

I doubt it will work on my car without heavy modifications on both the hardware and also the software Are there non-adaptive LED version for those new headlights? |

you should be able to retrofit the LED headlights but if you don't have adaptive headlights already then its a more complicated retrofit since you'll need level sensors to be added to your suspension upper wishbones on the drive side at least. You will probably have a bunch of wiring changes.
I don't think there is a non adaptive version of the LED headlights but you might just be better off buying the replica ones from eBay. I bought mine off of eBay, you can find deals now and then. |

So there are multiple things to check.
First, is wiring. Make sure you have Can 3 going to the headlight. And your LIN bus from FRM to headlights is also correct. Double/triple checked your wiring first. Second, you did swap your FRM right? You need the FRM that has 2 SWFLs listed in grid, not the one with 4 on the right side. Coding or Flashing the older FRM will not work. Third, did you flash your ZGW module? if not, you can try Flashing it with the updated VO as well, since that should definitely trigger Can 3 to be enabled. (Since you have 8/13, I assume you have ZGW 4sk or ZGW 8sk already) Then, make sure you are able to see the modules in e-sys when you click on read ECU in the coding section. I think you may want to first swap FRM to one from an LCI car.. |

Hi, many tnx for your attention and help, I checked wiring it's ok my FRM has 4 SWFL, my ZGW Is 4sk but I'm not sure does it can support CAN3 for LED Headlight or not because after VO coding I don't have LHM and TMS module in ECU list in Esys list

So you're doing it wrong. The ZGW cannot be VO Coded, since there is no CAFD file in it. You can only FLASH it with the VO that has 552 added. Also you need a different FRM like the one below. See how it shows only 2 SWEs and not 4
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-OEM-M5-...8fe6%7Ciid%3A1 You can find a ZGW for similar price if not lower and I would highly recommend replacing both modules and then flashing them before connecting the headlights..and then coding or flashing the LHM and TMS modules. (This way you still have your original modules just in case you need them) |
