its obviously a photoshop, it says it right in the text of the original post.
"Using information from various sources, these renderings were compiled by our partners over at Sweden’s Auto Motor and Sport and their illustrator Radovan Varicak, giving us a preview of what the final version will look like." i too think it looks like the Acura RL, which may not be a bad thing...but I like the current 5 regardless. |

It's so fake/wrong it makes me laugh.
I'm sorry, but I can't see how anyone would believe this thing. 1) The most OBVIOUS hinter is the current e60 5er grille 2) The headlights are chopped from an X5, and the one on our right hand side is messed up where it joins the hoodlines that flow down to the grille 3) The front bumper is just a warped version of the pre-FL e60 5er's 4) The Hoff-kink gives away the fact that this was jacked from either an e90/e60, both of which look very similar in the C-Pillar region 5) The trunk comes from an e60, and the taillights have the same details as an X5's, but in the shape of an e90's 6) The rear bumper is an exact copy of an e90/e92's, albeit with e60 5er reflector strips 7) The mirrors are screwed up, take a look at HKS's post *The sides look to be taken from the e90, but the character line has been sharpened up and flattened out

Consider this: How does the hood open when the shutline magically disappears between the headlight and grille on our lefthand side?

HAHAHA, Kie! I just searched on the web "e60 5 series", and pulled up a pic similar to the one discussed in this thread, and I found you commenting on a Motor Authority site! Hahaha, found it funny. :

I always get annoyed how the automotive press all come up with these on their own years ahead of time with little or no actual basis to any of the designs, and then post "NEW _____ REVEALED! EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS INSIDE!" All while tiptoeing around the fact that these are little more than artist's imaginations.

Did nobody notice that this photoshop is simply a E60 front with 3 series front quarter panels, blended front headlights of a E65 and new F01, the X6 rear tail lights, 7 series door panels...
You guys are impressed by this?

i like the shape even though it's fake... i actually love the e60 ... usually by the time BMW comes out with a new shape the old one is usually outdated...but i dont think the e60 would look outdated even after the arrival of the F10... do u think so??

If the F10 looks like the dinosaur with the huge grill from the spy pics, BMW = FAIL.
If the car resembles this for the most part it will be a success. However we have all been duped by artist renderings before that were far more sexy than what ended up on the production line. I hope this isnt one of them. |
