I think if you go to BAVSOUND's YouTube channel and search their posts on installations for vehicles other than the F10 chassis, you'll get the basic idea on how/where to apply the deadening insulation.
Also, I would recommend you send them an email, as they're usually very good about responding promptly with assistance... Good luck with your install! |

I am still holding out, I must have missed that sale because its showing 1299 still now for the Stage 1. 3 Years in development for the sub seems a bit extreme to me. My main concern is the existing OEM HK subs will clearly be outmatched. And just exacerbate the low end situation. However, I have been told some of the low end is made up with the new speakers.
I too have sent an email over to BSW about the subs. Awaiting their response. If I were to do to an upgrade I might as well do it all in one go.

BAV Sound
You did miss the sale. It was happening about 2-3weeks ago. I got them for about $500 on sale with a coupon they sent me for 10% off. Awesome speakers and very simple install. Unbelievable sound. Can't believe the difference. Anyone that has listened to them cannot believe how great it sounds. Definitely works well with the woofer. Keep watching the site for the next sale

Installed (not by myself) and the sound is good!
For the basic 6- speaker system in Hong Kong recommend to install by shop as there is no fitting clips on the deck for holding the rear tweeters ( & I am sure that you cannot do it yourself without the necesary parts) |

The stock subs have always sucked if you're a bass fanatic. For most people, I would say it's fine. It's not enough for me but it's adequate for now. |

Big Sale @ BAVSOUND!
Greetings all -
I just received an email from the good old boys at BAVSOUND, and they've got a big sale going on for the F10 Stage One kits. Up to $500 off depending on your sound system configuration, and the promotion is good for the next 30 days! It's time to strike if you've been on the fence waiting for a price drop. FYI... |

Went to several shops and it looks like most shops won't touch the car for many different reasons. Also, they said since the stock speakers are 2ohm there's not a whole lot of speaker choices unless you run an aftermarket amp which then maybe a problem using the factory head unit. Might opt for the BAV but anyone know if the sub under the seat can be replaced with a better sub or are we just out of luck? I know there are shallow mount subs out there but which one would be compatible?
I did find a 5 page thread on another site regarding adding subs but just seemed like too much work for a shop to do and of course price would be expensive. Without the ski hole in the backseat they ran into the trunk being a complete enclosure in itself. Not so sure about hacking my backseat to let the air through the trunk into the cabin? Anyways if I can at least find a replacement sub under the seat with the BAV I might be just satisfied with that...maybe lol! Last edited by lsturbointeg; 10-27-2014 at 09:52 PM.. |

i note that bvs has added an option of basic sys stero
& the result is that this product does not support your sys l would like to add that the basic sys in hk and uk does not support center speakers other speakers work well & folks can just select the speakers fitting your car Last edited by fung0001; 11-04-2014 at 06:22 AM.. |

Any opinions on pairing a jl audio xd600/6 to the BSW stage 1 Hifi speak system?? BSW does not list specs so it is difficult to match up. It would be about 75watts rms x 6

Forgot to add, I am ultimately trying to achieve higher volume while improving sound quality also. Will be adding subs in the trunk and don't want the highs to drown out.

No fitting clip to hold the tweeters at the rear for the basic model in hk
Removing the door panel is not that easy, you will regret if any tiny parts were not re-installed properly. Last edited by fung0001; 11-18-2014 at 05:21 AM.. |

Current BAVSOUND is on sale for $799 before coupon. I am tempted but might wait for Christmas or BlackFriday?? I have HK sound so I'm not in too much of a rush. However if they introduce a sub-woofer. I would get the kit.
